Suprised this property a Best Western. Older, tired property and room very dark. We had to shorten our stay due to Coronavirus and front desk manager very accommodating.
It is very basic with extremely dark rooms (you can't really open the curtains either as they back onto walkways. It has recently has some maintenance work to repair some wall damage and that was very poorly executed. Shower was dingy but had great water pressure. Breakfast items were also good for this type of property. Owners/manager was excellent - friendly and helpful.
The property was in an area that you wouldn’t go out at night. Went to get ice and there was trash in the container. The manager apologizes. I wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. The house cleaner couldn’t speak or understand English. I really was shocked it was a Best Western property.
Location was very good. 10 minute walk to downtown convention center and two minute walk to McDonald's for a cheap breakfast.
It was right on the street and was remarkably noisy. The staff gave me earplugs when I checked in. The neighborhood was sketchy. Homeless people everywhere. I didn't feel unsafe, but I'm a 50-year-old white male. Had I been a woman, or much older, I might have worried about my safety.
We only stayed for one night, but felt we got our money’s worth. The woman at the front desk was very nice, and check in was quick and easy. We slept well on the comfy beds, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the mural on the wall was very unique.
In Phoenix for a convention and not willing to pay the exorbitant price for a downtown hotel. This was a perfect alternative! The hotel is reasonably priced. The staff was competent and friendly. The walk was easy - 15 minutes or less. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Even with the outside door, I felt safe and secure.

Nice motel downtown
The owners are pleasant, accommodating and have made an effort. The hotel is old. They have done a good job making it look nicer, but more work needs to be done, especially in the bathroom/shower.
The breakfast was really delicious and impressive!
This place was absolutely terrible! We went to walk into the room and the first thing we noticed was the door was dented in. The chain to lock the door had been broken off. There was water all over the floor, something splattered on the walls and Tv, the beds and sheets were stained and just overall not appealing. On top of all that there were people yelling and fighting outside, you could hear everything from inside your room, and there is a very loud music venue across the street that basically shakes the room.
The only positive tjing i could say from this place was that we walked in and walked right back out and demanded our money back. The management at the desk was very kind and made sure everything was returned to us within a matter of minutes. .
This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. My husband and I are not very picky and have stayed at plenty discounts hotels. This one was honestly frightening. We had our child with us and there was no way in a million years we would have stayed there!
