As soon as we arrived the apartment/unit was pretty much how it was described. It was small but clean and looked well maintained. That was untill the next morning when my wife and I found, killed and captured 5 cockroaches

Parking available " should be more than"available on the street "!!!
I liked this little apartment in a 120+ year-old building in South Philly. It was just what we needed, a safe and quiet place to sleep at a good price. Bed was clean and comfortable. Seemed new. Appliances in the tiny kitchen were also new. Some necessities are missing -- the owner responded positively to our suggestions. BUT... We had searched VRBO for a place using the specific filter for parking. This place came up and lists "Parking available" and if you know this area, you know parking is a big problem. We arrived at 3 and a space was available . Then around 11:30 p.m.after our evening out, we arrived and there were NO spaces available. We had to drive over a few blocks and wait and look around while avoiding groups of men hanging out and police cars and a fire engine in the very narrow streets. So if you think "parking available" means what I think used to it means (assigned space with the unit) -- think again! This is misleading and the wording needs to be adjusted. I did read the details that explain the street parking, and I took it to mean parking would generally lly be available near the unit, as it can be on certain residential streets, and so I signed up. More fool me. This listing needs to be adjusted! And the wording in the filter needs to be more specific! E.g.Assigned Parking Spot. Or: Street Parking Only. Current words are misleading! (P.S. Also, don't assume normal kitchen amenities, like dish towels, are available! Bring what you need.)
