At the end of a pretty narrow road is where Veranda is situated, right next to the beach. We upgraded our stay to 2-bedroom duplex saltwater pool villa with a really reasonable upgrade price. "Delightful staff. Helpful in the extreme though their English is minimal. A lovely peaceful spot right on the wide sandy beach. Not a lot around and no good restaurants but the chef at Verano Beach is pretty good so, though we had a car, we ate in the hotel every night under the stars. Large, colonial rooms all in white have all the usual amenities but they are a tiny bit tired. Didn't put us off though and we hope to return."

"Golf excellent 2X18 holes and quite busy BUT none of the golfers stayed in the hotel. The hotel was run down. There was a large group of teenagers saying so it felt more like a youth hostel. The rooms are big but tired and furniture falling to bits. The bathroom was mouldy, the balcony was filthy and the chairs too, we asked for clean ones and they simply covered the chairs in towels. The pool filtration system had broken and was roped off to prevent it being used. We ere informed it would not...

"Very difficult to find. Wrong location on Google maps. Address given by Hotels.com is wrong. Had to go to Police station to get directions. 2 numbers for hotel were not answered, Long way out on dirt road but nice place when eventually found. Beds very hard. and WIFI poor."
