"Lovely room, stylish furnishings. Only things missing in the room - hair conditioner and earl grey tea …. Surely these could be provided? But it was very comfortable otherwise. Breakfast was ok… but no scrambled egg available. "

"Lovely hotel with great facilities. Only minor issue was that there was no cot in the room and there wasn’t much effort made to get one so we had to improvise. The high chairs in the restaurant were also not great. "

"Basic room at a reasonable price for the quality of accommodation. The rooms are showing there age. Badly scraped walls, damaged paintwork, frayed carpets etc, but good clean linen on bed. Bathroom of a reasonable standard. Hot towel rail and large fluffy white towels. Located centrally for the city centre. "

"Great 4 star hotel at a very reasonable price.. Nice reasonably price restaurant and nice bar. Breakfast was superb and the tiny waitress from Thailand who was there was great, a wonderful personality. Only drawback was the lift was not working and they tried to put us on the 3td floor, my wife just cannot do that many stairs so I asked for a room on a lower floor which ended up behind an upgrade at no extra cost. "

"Great location near train station approx 6-10min walk depending on your mobility. We booked a twin room which was comfortable and had everything we needed for our one night stay. No doubt the room could do with some maintenance and a refresh. The doors loudly squeaked which wasnt great if going to the loo during the night. The bathroom door didnt have a working lock and whilst you could adjust the heat in the bedroom you couldn't turn down the heat in the bathroom and with such a small room it...

"The hotel and the room were amazing. The room was so big and comfortable with a lovely Scottish decor. The food on the first night was a little disappointing and very few staff working because it was a quiet time so it meant a lot of waiting at times. There is a gorgeous big sitting room with open fire and lots of queen Anne chairs and couches for reading and board games. "Great suite, but the check-in desk was unstaffed when I arrived, so I spent a very irritating 20 minutes out on the street, unable to get through the locked door leading into the hotel. The phone number to call for assistance was not working on my 1 phone. They need to fix this; check-in should not be so difficult. How about a simple door code?"
