Thinking of staying only a few days, check out the weekly rate and it might surprise you. Once you come and stay you wont want to go home in a hurry. We have country people who return every year for a couple of weeks by the sea. It is so relaxing. This house is not new but it is comfortable, casual and suitably furnished to withstand small children. It's not flash but it is very clean and comfortable as well as in a great position. 5 mins drive to the village. 2 minutes from the Mandurah Country Club, walking distance to TOD'S Cafe Halls Head along the beach front & 5 minutes drive to the big new Halls Head Shopping Centre, including Aldi, Coles, Farmer Jacks, Kmart, bakeries, bottle shops, cafes & restaurants.
Plenty of secure parking in the rear paved courtyard for several cars and a small boat which must be low enough to fit through the car port. Good fishing, swimming or surfing on the beach in front for those that enjoy a dip. Beach access just across the road and Blue Bay our next beach north of our location with showers & toilets.

GOLF - Mandurah Country Golf Club is just 2 minutes away with a magnificent 18 hold course. Special playing rates for members of other clubs. The Cut is just 15 mins south or Meadow Springs is 10 minutes from Halls Head. All world class golf courses.

SURFING - Yes you can body surf, boogie board, wind surf or kit surf just in front or Blue Bay or there are several excellent spots one or two beaches south walking where good surf is normally available..
SWIMMING - Some of the most beautiful white sand beaches and you will be amazed at how few people are on them. Float, swim or snorkel or just laze on the beach.
CAFES - TOD's Cafe is just around the headland (1K) and the village is only 4 minutes drive away where there is numerous restaurants/cafes or Halls Head new Shopping Centre with 58 speciality shops, cafes & restaurants amongst just a few of many.
CYCLING - Cycle tracks run all around the beach front south or into the village and the Marina area or you can cycle along the beachfront to Golden Bay or up to Rockingham.. Bring your bikes or you can rent. Great exercise & fun. Visit the GIANTS at various locations whilst they are here, well worth it.
SKATE BOARDING - Cycling or walking distance to the Skate Boarding rink at the Mandurah Bridge, Halls Head side of the river.
MINI GOLF - At the Mandurah Bridge in the park.
SHOPPING - Mandurah offers factory outlets as well as small boutiques up to large shopping centres. Weekend markets and lots of festivals to participate in. Check out "Whats on in Mandurah"
FISHING - yes you can catch Whiting or Herring off the beach in front of the house or occasionally a Mullaway or Tailor when they are running. Bring your rod & your bucket or your dingy. Big Game fishing charters available from the Marina area or rent a pontoon or fishing boat. CRABBING - we have scoop nets and some old drop nets that you can use, bring your wadding shoes, hat & sunscreen.
BOATING - there are many canals, the Peel Estuary and several rivers that flow into it. Island with birds, fishing, crabbing or just visiting a local restaurant. Bring the boat or hire one.
BRIDGE CLUB - there is a very strong & friendly Bridge Club that welcomes visitors from around the world.
TENNIS - LAWN BOWLS - BRIDGE CLUBS - yes there are many clubs that welcome visitors for a casual game or a serious match.
SCUBA DIVING - The Mandurah coast has many rocky reef outcrops which are protected and well worth diving on, don't forget your license.
ENTERTAINMENT - live entertainment, theatre, art exhibitions, concerts & performing arts are available in the village at the Entertainment Centre at the Estuary waterfront. Just 5 minutes from the Beach House in Halls Head.
LAWN BOWLS - fabulous indoor bowls club as well as several well established lawn bowling clubs that welcome members from other clubs.
WINERIES - there are several very good wineries in the Peel region and an excellent Wine Tour if you prefer.
MARKETS - Mandra Markets operate ever Sunday on the Mandurah foreshore throughout the summer months as well as the Marina Retail Market that operates every day.
WALKING - if walking is what you prefer then Mandurah has many scenic routes around the canals, bird sanctuaries, the Marina and the beaches as well as the estuary and the Village.
CRABBING - Mandurah is famous for the Blue Manna Crabs or Blue Swimmer Crabs. During the season crabs can be scooped or netted from the jetty or a boat. Loads of fun and nothing better than really fresh cooked crabs.
CYCLING - around the ocean front or into the village and Marina for lunch or coffee or around the canals & into the wetlands for bird watching. Recommended to bring the whole families bikes and explore the coast, north & south.
BIRD WATCHING - Mandurah has many wetlands that are well set up with hides for watching the many species of bird that arrive for the summer.
PHOTOGRAPHY - Sunsets, water birds, surfers, beaches, coastal flowers, the Peel Estuary - opportunities abound for the camera enthusiast

Mandurah is the perfect base for travelling out to historic Pinjarrah, Dwellingup, Harvey, Bunbury or further south to Margaret River, Yallingup or Busselton. Only 1 hour from Fremantle & Perth city or 35 minutes to Rockingham, Point Peron & Penguin Island without the heavy traffic of staying in the city. Very peaceful as we are off the flight path for big jets.
Cooler than Perth in summer and warmer in winter with all the facilities anyone would need. Mandurah is a lovely relaxing holiday and fishing village with live theatre, lots of restaurants to choose from and only 1 hour from Perth.
