We were a family group of ten (10) adults, six (6) youth and two (2) children from out of state that stayed overnight at the house, plus six (6) local family members that joined us there during the day. The occasion of our gathering was the Memorial and Celebration of Life for our family matriarch. The Hillside Mansion, with its multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and large kitchen served our gathering very well.
Our host, Richard, was readily accessible and always helpful. The ping-pong table, foos-ball and billiard tables were popular forms of entertainment and friendly competition. Though some of the amenities, such as the outside furniture and games, were a little weather worn.
The property has some truly lovely views of Lake Matthews and the surrounding area. The only significant draw-back to this beautiful home (for us) was its remote location. It is centrally located, equal distances (20 minutes driving) from Perris, Riverside or Corona. Making a trip to the grocery store, gas station, bank or other business a minimum of a one hour trip.
That said, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again should the occasion arise.
