"What a beautiful location. Perfect for day trips to all the Tuscan attractions and towns. Less than 5 minute drive to Montecarlo where you can find some lovely restaurants. Grocery shopping is close by as well. Luigi and Franca were awesome. Luigi went out of his way to educate us on where to go in Tuscany and shared much about his interesting life history. Don't miss Franca's most amazing tiramisu. Sorry I didn't get the recipe!"

"Beautiful well appointed flat in the middle of Lucca! Steps away from all of th sites and sounds of the city! Kitchen, terrace, bedrooms /bathrooms were all pristine! Only complaint was contractors on scaffolding right outside the terrace and kitchen windows…..and the elevator was out of service for a 5th floor flat. A pre-arrival notification would have been appreciated as we would have attempted to find an alternate location without the walk up."

"After an eight-day, April stay, we did not want to leave. Surrounded by fields of rolling green hills, this house was the perfect place to relax on the patio with glasses of wine and plates of pasta. Sonia and Rosario were excellent hosts and their shop (on the premises) was filled with their company’s pasta as well as sweet goodies like biscotti. Highly recommend!"

In front of the house is a park - very green (bamboo, olives, fruit trees) with a big tree giving shades in summer for the car and the people :-) Not sure how you want to squeeze in 5 people though. "Für 1 Woche in der Toskana hatten wir zu zweit einen guten Ausgangspunkt für unsere Ausflüge nach Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa und Cecina gefunden. Die Einrichtung ist recht einfach und ein bisschen veraltet. Den Pool und die Tischtennisplatte hatten wir für uns alleine und waren damit ein absolutes Highlight. Zum Einkaufen waren wir schnell in Montaione ansonsten ging es immer eine Weile über kurvige italienische Landstraßen bis man eine größere Straße oder sein Ziel erreicht."

It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."
