"Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, booked as a stopover coming home from Provence. Set in the countryside with a large lake just a few minutes walk from the rear of the property. Easy parking. Restaurant and bar on site but very nice restaurant Belvédère overlooking the lake 5 mins away which we ate at, or other options in the village. "The perfect getaway — lovely cosy evenings by the fire, and days spent in this heavenly French chateau and its grounds. Lots of tennis played on the clay court (sadly too chilly to use the pool) but excursions to beautiful Chablis, Auxerre and the abbey at Pontigny were particular highlights. Can’t recommend enough!"
