THE CABIN
Only a few steps from the water, this property will immediately give you that real 'up north' feel. Once you arrive, the tree lined driveway leads you to the charming cabin and view of the lake. The cabin has 1,500 square feet of cozy living space and features warm, tongue-and-groove walls, wood-burning hand-made stone fireplace, and unbelievable lake views from multiple rooms, making it easy to love.
The moment you walk through the door, the open living area and view of the water will make this one of your favorite spots. The remainder of the first level, complete with Tennessee Flagstone floors, contains a great kitchen with all of your amenities (stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc), and a dining area. The large master bedroom features its own deck just feet away from the water. Head downstairs to the basement living room to relax, watch tv, and enjoying more amazing lake views.
Of course, you'll be spending plenty of time on the lake, but when you’re not, sit back and relax on the deck or the sand beach. The perfect lake view and this cabin's surrounding scenery will never get old.
Located on a quiet, beautiful 600 acre lake and being just steps away, you'll find it easy to keep yourself busy with various activities during the day. Lovely Lakeside Rental
This rental was perfect for our family get away. Situated close to the lake with quiet neighbors. Located off the main road provided for quiet walks. The lake presented many opportunities for Good Fishing and bird watching.

Great Family Getaway!
We loved our time here! The kids had a great time on the beach and the water was clear and warm! We watched the sunset from the dock every night and my son made his first s'more. The firewood provided was really nice convenience! Note for others with small kids - we brought a baby gate with us as there are 2 sets up stairs (up/down). This was a lifesaver with a busy 16m old.

Amazing cabin stay on the lake
Everything about this cabin met our wants and needs. It was in the perfect spot, right on the water so we could get up and fish whenever we wanted. It was gorgeous inside and made good use of the space. It had everything we needed to cook and clean while we stayed there. The host Kim was super responsive and kind. We will definitely be coming back to stay at this cabin!!! Highly, highly recommend!!

A great experience!
This cabin/lake home was just what we needed for our little 4h of July getaway! It was clean and equipped with the essentials, and we appreciated that the owners have kept the vintage decor. It felt very “Minnesota cabin” and we loved the unique layout. Our 2 year old loved playing on the little beach area and in the shallow water. It was also nice to have Crosslake and Pequot within a 10-20 min drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Cabin was great , plenty of room for our family to sleep and move around. Very comfortable place to stay, private dock was a great bonus. Very quiet and peaceful would stay again. Sitting out on the deck watching the lake / eagles/ deer was priceless.

Not only did we have extra linens available since our stay was 2+weeks the owners brought over new parts for the grill to be sure that it worked for us. It's a lovely location for the restful relaxation that we needed. Thank you for another great vacation.

Peaceful Vacation
Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your cabin on Upper Hay Lake. My husband and I (along with his brother) had an enjoyable stay. The location was just off the main road which allowed for pleasant strolls. The area was quiet which is what we were looking for to have that "downtime". The cabin was just the right size for the 3 of us and the basement was a bonus feature, Thank you.

Last hoorah before college
We are about to be empty nesters and wanted to spend a few days away from home to enjoy the kids before they head off to college. The property was exactly what we needed. I booked it specifically for the 2 bedrooms, one of them having twin beds so my girls didn’t need to sleep in the same bed because they are 21 and 18 and don’t love to do that anymore. A bonus for me was no tv in the living room. There was a nice area in the basement for dad to go in the morning before everyone got up and enjoy his coffee and watch some tv. Also nice was 2 toilets. The location was quiet and secluded. The lake was perfect for our needs and the fishing kept us busy. A great property. Will definitely return.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting...with attentive owners!
Loved the cabin, loved the lake, loved the seclusion...we had an amazing time here! The cabin was very clean and well-maintained...and was well-stocked with cooking supplies (especially for larger groups like ours). The rooms were spacious and the furniture was comfortable (couches, beds, chairs)--I bring this up because we've had rentals in the past where the furniture was very uncomfortable, and we won't go back to those spots. But that was NOT the case here! We did run out of kitchen garbage bags, but the owners delivered a new box to the front door within 30-45 minutes...so they were VERY on top of making sure we had what we needed! This is definitely one of the nicer places that we've rented with Vrbo and would stay here again, should we be in the same area.
