Backed by dunes and spectacular coastal scenery it's the ideal place for family picnics, sandcastle building or for paddling in the shallows, while the bay's renowned swells draw bodyboarders and surfers from all over the country. Within 10 minutes' drive are the popular coastal towns of Porthleven in one direction, and Marazion in the other where a plethora of coastal paths and walks can be relished along with visits to some of the area's best-known landmarks like St Michael's Mount and Porthleven's harbour.
