Nori's Nest, Shepherds Hut, Croft Hooper

Escape the rush of busy everyday life with a stay at this lovely traditional Cornish shepherd's hut; set within picturesque countryside between Marazion and St Ives and just five minutes' drive from St Erth Park and Ride.

Immaculately presented and very well-equipped this lovely little hut offers couples a tempting combination of away-from-it-all escapism and modern luxuries, with beautiful decor and the addition of a private hot tub adding a touch of indulgence. Newly refurbished, the hut is situated in a private field overlooking St Michael's Mount and is fully insulated with a pine interior and curved ceiling to form a cosy and rustic space for couples to unwind in. A small but perfectly formed kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, fridge, microwave and cooking utensils, while outside, there's a decked patio with outdoor furniture, a hammock, firepit and BBQ; perfect for catching up on a good book or for enjoying a glass of wine and dinner al-fresco. Cleverly laid out to incorporate a small dining area and bedroom with queen size bed, the hut has unlimited Wi Fi and a small wall mounted TV for entertainment, while the bathroom comes complete with an electric shower and warm water supply.

Encompassed by a variety of cycling and walking trails and closely situated to the area's beautiful beaches and attractions, guests can choose between hunkering down in solitude at the hut or getting active outdoors either down at the coast or within the surrounding nature of the area.

Fantastic Holiday
We had an amazing time away at the shepards hut for our honeymoon, really enjoyed the peace and the land surrounding us. Also great information pack to help you find surrounding areas for food, and activities to do whilst away. We visited marazion beach (St Michael's mount) alot which was also a nice and peaceful beach and area to relax. Penzance wasn't far which was great to go food shopping or for a general walk around.

Short stay in shepherds hut
Lovely location and so quiet, the shepherds hut was adequate, really comfy bed and the hot tub was a nice add on.

amazing trip!!
Me and my partner had an amazing stay. Place was spotless and had everything you need! all cutlery and kitchen supplies provided, complimentary tea and sugar, we also left some firewood and starters for the next guests. Hot tub was amazing and very clean despite being outside! fire pit was great also. Would 100% recommend and would love to visit again!

EXCELLENT!!
We came to stay for our Mini Honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! Location is amazing, so quiet and peaceful and still not too far from Penzance, St.Ives and Hayle. We'll definitely be back in the future!! The only thing I'd say that the stunning little hut needs is a microwave or small oven.

5*
Myself and my partner really enjoyed our time away in Cornwall and we loved our accommodation. The shepards hut is small but mighty and has everything you would need (including things like a hair dryer, BBQ equipment and games!) and more. We especially liked the hot tub, which took some time to warm up, but after a day it was good to go. For us, the location was ideal. It was remote and peaceful, but we could easily drive to all tourist areas (most being less than 30 mins away). We spent our evenings sitting outside, cooking on the BBQ and watching the bunnies that we shared the field with. Overall, I really recommend this accommodation and I will definitely consider staying here again when I come back to Cornwall!

Lovely and peaceful
Stayed here for a long weekend in July. Getting to the property had it's issues as there were road works right at the entrance of the site, however, the property manager was able to guide us on what to do and we reached Nori's Nest relatively easily. It's up a gravel path/drive and feels like it's away from everything which is perfect. Sweet little rabbits surrounding the hut. Sadly it rained all weekend so unable to use the BBQ, but able to cook within the hut without issues. The hot tub was lovely, sadly there were 1 or 2 cigarette ends on the decking near the hot tub. The bed was fine, we were worried as a review said not great for tall people but my partner is 6ft, I'm 5'6, we aren't the smallest people and we slept comfortably for our stay and fit just fine! Can get very hot in the hut, but laying in bed with the window open listening to rain was beyond peaceful and relaxing. The shower was temperamental and didn't want to stay at a normal temperature and kept getting too hot, but we just turned it down to cool on the settings and it was fine. The pictures obviously have it all set up and "staged", so initially the hut felt slightly underwhelming however we really did enjoy our stay at Nori's Nest.

Nice location but not luxury
The shepherds hut was in an ideal location for exploring Cornwall although we were disappointed with the shepherds hut itself. It was missing a few key things such as a blind in the shower room so we had to hang a towel ourselves to protect our dignity. The blind by the bed also had a hole in it? We had to buy a fan as it was too hot at night and one was not provided, it didn’t feel safe enough to leave a window open. A few little extra touches would make it a luxury stay (e.g. New blinds, another mirror rather than just one in the shower room, bath mat, Tea towels, fan, small toiletries, a small bottle of milk to go with the tea bags provided, shelter for the hot tub etc)

Fabulous!
We had the best time at this quaint little shepherd's hut in a field! We went for the hot tub, privacy, location and uniqueness of it and it didn't disappoint. It was a beautiful experience of being around nature but having all of the comforts of home. Host was friendly and welcoming. A few minor things that in no way distracted from the amazing time we had but would have just pushed it to perfect. Bath towels stained, fridge door missing a side self which meant the milk spilt because there was no where for it to be upright, the bbq was too dirty to use, bed pillows were not comfortable (personal preference), could do with a little tidy up and paint, bits of wood chipped inside and outside the property, car in driveway upon arrival so we didn't have access immediately, door is tricky to manoeuvre but once you've figured it out it's fine, nice touch with the drinks but tea and coffee and biscuits would have been nicer if they were Cornish.

A mixed bag
The location is superb, a short drive away from some very picturesque spots and beaches. The cabin is extremely private and in a gorgeous location, has pretty much everything you'd need. Wild rabbits running around enhances this experience immensely. However, the major downside is the bed. It's VERY small. I'm only 5'5, my partner is 5' and we're pretty slim, we found the bed to be an issue for us. The length isn't great and the width can't be much more than 4ft. If you're any taller than 5'10 then I promise youll struggle to be comfortable. You're definitely paying for the location, I wouldn't recommend any more than a couple of nights here. Price is a bit high but that's to be expected for a UK getaway. Overall 3.5/5
