Located 1 mile south of Penrith, known as the gateway to the Lakes, is Yanwath, just 4 miles from Lake Ullswater. The market town of Penrith has a number of boutique shops, restaurants and cafes and is within a 5 minute drive, perfect for a night on the town. Being set back from the lake, the area is much quieter than Pooley Bridge yet the shops, pubs, restaurants and lake can be reached within a few minutes drive. Once at the lake, follow the road through the village and alongside the lake, take time to explore the villages and hamlets, many have art galleries or pubs with micro breweries serving local ales on route, and continue to Kirkstone pass where a day out in Windermere or Ambleside awaits, all within less than an hours drive.
Glendowlin is a lodge park, perfect for relaxing breaks at any time of year. After a day exploring the fells return to the peace and tranquillity of the park and the comfort of your lodge where you can enjoy a home cooked meal on the decking with views over the fells. Within a short drive you will find a number of traditional village pubs serving delicious home cooked food and local ales. The outdoor enthusiast has a number of fells on the doorstep waiting to be explored, some can be done on horse back or take advantage of the many sailing clubs around the lake offering different water sport adventures.
The lodge has electric storage heaters throughout and comprises: Open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with comfy sofas around the wood burning stove and Smart TV with Netflix. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Master double bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room. Double and single bedroom.
