"Beautiful 400 year old property inside castle villa of Óbidos in Portugal. Great experience. Don’t bring a lot of luggage as the parking is a ways and you will need to carry your bags or roll them on cobblestone road. "

"The property is very nice and quiet and the hostess is very friendly, but it is an RNB and not an hotel, hence there are neither services such as cleaning the room during our entire stay, breakfast, front desk, nor a closet to unpack the suitcase. If you consider staying at an rnb I fully recommend it."

"The guesthouse did not expect our arrival until Monday, although we had booked for Sunday. Unfortunately, we were then faced with a closed door and had to quickly find another accommodation on Sunday evening, which was anything but easy and also came at a higher cost. All in all, it was a very annoying situation!"

"Really enjoyed our stay and 100% recommend anyone looking for a beautiful peaceful place to spend time away from the noisy and busy areas. The owner is a fantastic person, we had a little mishap and she helped us to resilve it. Very much appreciated."

"Pros: GREAT location with beautiful views right across the street from the ocean. Staff is very friendly. Loads of amenities (though you have to pay extra). Cons: Bungalows have ZERO light in the kitchen and minimal lighting in the room. We had to use our headlamp to cook. "The hotel is spotless, in a great location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and the local sites. The proprietor, Ellen, is friendly and she makes you feel like you’re at home. We have stayed at this property before, last year, the reason we returned is because of the hospitality. Everyone is so nice and accommodating, the rooms are a good size and extremely clean. If you ever need anything, there is always someone there to help. I would never think of going anywhere else."

Very good value hotel

"I arrived before check-in time but was given a room key without any fuss. Room was of a good standard with fridge and safe and overlooked the beach. I used the fitness room which was basic but sufficient, there were also two pools which I didn’t use. Breakfast was included and was very good value."
