Llanos De Penagos: Mansion - THE BUMBARO'S HOUSE

Beautifully located, the house is probably one of the most charming properties of this particular region.

Built on XVIII century, it is a perfect place to enjoy your holidays with family and friends. It is rented for exclusive use only.

The house was originally built in the late 1700s as a farm house divided in two areas: family dwelling and farming facilities (stable and barn.) Today, both spaces have been attached to the main building by means of a large, sunken living room where a grand piano becomes the main attraction. It was in this living room and with this same piano, that composer of chamber music and former owner Miguel Ángel Samperio created a good number of his works. It is an open, cozy space where all visitors feel at home.

The house has three floors, each one with a square footage a little over 2,300 sf. It was remodeled in 2008. At present, the house includes seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, four large common areas, a porch, a garage, barbecue, ping-pong table and a 7-acre garden.

Casa bien reformada y equipada con algún punto de mejora. Calefacción se cobra aparte.
La casa esta fantastica, bien equipada y lo pasamos genial, una pena el tiempo. Temas a mejorar: Pedimos 2 cunas, pero la segunda cuna era mas un parque infantil que cuna (el niño no dormia ahi). Otro tema a mejorar es que en la habitacion de la cama de matrimonio y 2 camas individuales, hay una gotera pegada a la pared de la cama que da al pasillo (tambien tuvimos que moverla). Por ultimo diria que el tema de la calefaccion, aunque nos habian avisado, no es muy comun y es un poco incomodo cobrarlo despues de la estancia porque en grupos grandes se hace dificil coordinar un segundo pago.

Casa grande ideal para varias familias. Está muy bien equipada con todo lo necesario. Tiene un porche muy agradable para comer. Se encuentra en un pueblo muy tranquilo, a media hora de varias playas. El anuncio refleja muy bien cómo es la casa y tuvimos buena comunicación con Emma. Muy recomendable

Fantastic house in the middle of Cantabria
A really fantastic house and host. Everything you need for lots of fun, a fab kitchen, terrace, garden, bbq and great rooms. We were 4 families with kids between 6 months and 9 years and came in August and it was perfect. Emma was a fantastic host, especially great on communicating with us all the way through and i'd absolutely recommend anyone to stay!

UN fin de semana en familia
Cada seis meses realizamos pasamos un fin de semana largo con nuestros cuatro hijos sus parejas y nuestros seis nietos Casa Bumbaro es un lugar perfecto para esto, aunque no fuimos muy afortunados con el tiempo el entorno es magnifico

La casa es fantástica. Y el lugar maravilloso. Un buen sitio para alejarse del mundanal ruido. Fuimos catorce personas y lo pasamos muy bien. Billar, ping-pong, cocina grande, chimeneas, habitaciones cómodas, tres salones.... Todo excelente.

Una estancia fantástica
Hemos pasado una semana estupenda en la Casona del Búmbaro. Una experiencia totalmente recomendable. La casa es perfecta para juntarse un gran numero de personas. En este caso hemos llegado a estar 12 adultos y 5 niños / bebés. Es cómoda, muy acogedora y te sientes como en casa desde el primer momento. Tiene muchos espacios comunes, y todos ellos son muy amplios, por si quieres o necesitas temporalmente respirar algo de intimidad entre tantas personas. La ubicación de la casa es inmejorable, en un pueblo tranquilo rodeado de verde, muy cerca de Cabarceno o Lierganes, y con las playas de Somo, Langre o Liencres a escasos 20 minutos. Definitivamente, una estancia fantástica. Gracias por todo, Emma. Volveremos!

Estuvimos un fin de semana en esta casa, con un encanto especial, llena de detalles que nos transportaban a nuestra niñez, lugar de juegos y risas....La propietaria Emma estuvo pendiente de que estuviéramos cómodos en todo momento, y la verdad es que fue todo perfecto. La casas es excepcional, con todas las comodidades, en un paraíso. Ideal para ir con niños.

La opniones general es muy buena.
La casa se encuentra en un paraje precioso y muy tranquilo. No hay ningún tipo de tráfico y los niños pueden andar y montar en bicicleta sin riesgo alguno. La casa es muy acogedora y amplia pudiendo vivir 14 personas sin sentir agobio alguno. La decoración es muy adecuada y confortable. Somos un familia muy grande y difícilmente encontraremos una casa de características similares. La única pega que hemos encontrado es la falta de armarios en algunas habitaciones

Magnífica
Pasamos una semana estupenda toda la familia. Emma facilita una cantidad increíble de información sobre cada aspecto de la casa y sobre lugares que visitar, actividades a realizar, etc, muy útiles para cualquiera que no esté familiarizado con la zona. La casa es una preciosidad y está magníficamente acondicionada, ¡no falta un detalle! El entorno además acompaña e invita al relax, los paseos y el disfrute del paisaje. Reunion familiar en la Casona del Bumbaro
Alguien que ya conocia la Casona del Bumbaro me propuso celebrar mi cumpleaños en ella,rodeado de los familiares mas proximos,y en un ambiente especial.Acepte la propuesta cuando vi las fotos de las estancias de la Casona,lo que no podia imaginar es las vistas tan agradables que hay desde las habitaciones y que a pesar de ser bastantes de familia en ningun momento tuvimos sensacion de agobio por lo bien distribuida que esta la casa.Felicidades a Emma,la propietaria ,por ofrecer un lugar tan idilico tan cerca de Santander.Espero que encontremos pronto otra celebracion familiar que nos permita repetir la visita.

FIN DE SEMANA EN UNA CASONA INCREÍBLE
Hemos podido disfrutar de uno de esos lugares mágicos que estas pocas veces en tu vida. Una casona histórica por fuera con unos jardines maravillosos y un paisaje increíble. Pero por dentro la casona es mucho mejor. Salones por toda la casa donde comer leer tranquilamente, jugar al billar, hablar con un amigo mientras miras por la ventana las montañas... La casa dispone de 6 habitaciones muy confortables y como toda la casa decorado con un gusto exquisito. Hemos estado 10 adultos y 5 niños pequeños y no nos encontrábamos. El comedor es muy cómodo junto a la cocina completamente equipado para un gran grupo. Muchas gracias por regalarnos un fin de semana muy especial.

Estuvimos un grupo de 11 personas y lo pasamos fenomenal, la casa es preciosa, limpia, cuidada al máximo detalle y dispuesta de todas las comodidades que pudimos necesitar. En nuestro caso ,nos hizo buen tiempo y pudimos disfrutar del jardín y hacer una barbacoa, pero sino, la casa tiene muchas opciones para entretenerse: billar, juegos de mesa, piano...... y el pueblo es tranquilo , con rutas muy bonitas para hacer y bien comunicado de Santander.Esperamos volver pronto!

This house was magical. ...
This house was magical. The photos don't do it justice. Just a 25 minute drive south from Santander, situated in a small hillside village of Llanos, Bumbaro House was amazing. Myself and 11 old friends stayed here for a week. You can do nothing, or be busy each day. Easy access to Burgos for rock climbing, San Sebastian or Bilbao, and easy to get downtown to Santander for fine dining at night. We used the kitchen a lot, and 4 couple and 4 single people slept comfortably. The billards and table tennis were a bonus. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The Cantabria region of Spain, particularly in June/July is much more temperate than southern Spain. Day trip options are in abundance. The beaches in Santander were amazing. Miss Bumbaro already!! Don't forget the morning baguette delivery from the local bread maker.

"We stayed in the Bumbaro...
"We stayed in the Bumbaro as a group of 9 during the middle of August. The house was fantastic and could easily have accommodated a much larger party. We particularly enjoyed the very well equipped and beautiful kitchen and dining room, BBQ and the large grounds, which were great for the kids to explore and play. All age groups would enjoy the property. A car is essential. The surroundings are picture perfect and very quiet. Nearby you can find spring water, see cows milked and enjoy the tiny local bar. Although very tranquil, the village is located only 2 km from the main road, giving easy access to Santander and the beaches (about 20 mins). The owner Emma was extremely helpful and welcoming on our arrival. All in all a great place to stay, especially for larger groups."
