"Generally the property was good. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Facilities were just adequate, the shower ran out of hot water after one person then you had to wait half an hour for the next person. Otherwise I was happy with my accommodation. The area Tarona house is in, is pleasant enough however you have to be careful as some dog owners are not diligent and think more of their pet than other human beings. "

"The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They served dinner later in the evening and having the restaurant connected to the guesthouse was very convenient. Malta has decent public transport, but we did not use it, as it was easy to walk around. There was also a grocery store, Spar, around the corner about 2 minutes away. Would definitely stay there again!"

"Excellent place to stay! Friendly people, beautiful accommodations! Perfectly located and has a rooftop pool to boot! The only criticism would be the mattresses… they were too firm for our liking and it made it hard to sleep, but we like soft beds so anyone else may not have an issue at all. We are already planning our next trip to Malta and plan to book here again"

"Daughter and stayed at Park Heights for 4 nights, we had a wonderful stay! A day before our arrival, I was contacted by the staff to guide me with the self check in, as we were arriving late. The communication was clear and everything went smoothly. The studio with kitchen was just perfect, super functional and clean. The design choices are modern with clean lines. "We came to the Western Dragonara in 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We returned again March 2025 and was not disappointed. Lovely professional and welcoming staff. Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Always cleaning and making the hotel lovely. Plenty of fresh choice everyday for breakfast. All the staff are so friendly and chatty. Highly recommend Palios for food. We will be back for sure next year."

"10/10 - FAULTLESS I celebrated my 29th birthday here over a weekend with 22 friends and the hotel accommodated to every single need I requested. They went above and beyond for me, the treatment and customer service I received was like no other. "Loved Malta stay at Grand Hotel Excelsior. The moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and welcome drink. Raj Kumar was very friendly and helpful from front desk. He guided us on taking the Gozo day trip on our own. Excellent customer service by Raj and all others at the hotel. Reading some negative reviews on the hotel I was bit hesitant on booking, but the hotel exceeded our expectations. Hotel is walkable to the main center of Valleta. Rooms were spacious with daily housekeeping. We enjoyed our stay three days stay with Excelsior. Breakfast was good with ample choices. We would certainly stay here on our next Malta trip. Highly recommend it. "

"Malta is an exceptional country. This hotel, while not in Valletta proper, is on a number of bus routes. Malta has no train so all transportation is by bus or ferry. It's very easy. The hotel is terrific. No complaints. "
