"Property exactly as ahown in pictures. Setting is absolutely gorgeous. Coastal Nova Scotia at it's best. Highly recommend it.4 star for check in as house # is very difficult to see.Look for house #'s 32/34 across the street to get your bearings as they are very visible."

"Lovely, clean and bright. Had a short stay with a friend. Plenty of room for 2. Aiming is very pleasant and accomodating. We enjoyed our time our stay"

"The home was so clean and organized. We all enjoyed the soft tub. The kids loved the games and books. Beautiful location with a short walk to the park and ocean. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything to make a meal. We just brought the food. The host Karen checked on us to make sure all was good. Definitely a roomy home we would stay in again. "Bring your groceries and leave your worries behind. This out-of-the-way vacation cottage is a great place to settle in and watch the waves. We spotted seals, eagles and fishing boats gliding past. The road onto the island, with it's twists, turns and one-lane bridge, adds to the charm. The property provides a sense of isolation but neighbours are nearby if needed. "Bigger couch really didnt sleep 6"

"Our stay wasn't bad, I only have two complaints: It was a bit chilly in the basement And the volume on the tv didn't turn up, i had to read the subtitles because i couldn't hear it. The host was very easy to get ahold of, he responded right away when i messaged him. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, bus stop very close."

"Great, cozy, comfortable, light-filled cottage for two on St Margarets Bay, with view of water from large deck. Close to beaches, South Shore, Peggy's Cove and Halifax area. The village of Hubbards has grocery, cafes, pharmacy, NSLC, bike trails and great Farmers Market."

"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. "Our group of four just stayed for a week in August and had an incredible time at this property! We found everything to be true to the listing if not better, and the stunning views from multiple directions made our stay even more memorable. We were able to explore a great deal of the surrounding areas thanks to the central location, with short hops to nearby Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Chester, and of course Halifax and other great destinations. "The property was fantastic, well equipped and super cozy. We really appreciated the scent-free clean linens and space. The view is amazing and there is nothing like enjoying an ocean-side soak in a swim spa. Mishoo's was a great place to grab dinner and beverage to-go(3 minutes away). The place was a great destination spot - away from the city but close enough to be convenient."

"Great house. Some of the furniture needs changing like the dining room chairs that are very wobbly.3 bedrooms in basement are only doubles so like my son and his wife that are bigger people they had to sleep separately. All in all there was a great view and it was worth the prixe."

"We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing stay. The location was clean, tidy, and exceptionally situated. The cottage came fully prepared, and truly felt like home.
