"No reservation on arrival after a long day walking the Camino - the person said I didnt have a booking and just shrugged his shoulders...I had to open email and show him email confirmation - then he made a phone call and lady brought me to a 3 bedroom apartment nearby which was old fashioned and dark - the bath was dirty with grim stains and the shower head was broken - more water came from the back of the shower head than from the actual shower part..."

"A surprisingly pleasant stay despite initial impressions outside and the general location. The rooms, there were 4 of us, were very spacious and had everything we needed. A nice breakfast was included. The only real negative was we didn't know there was no restaurant service Fri to Sun....we arrived Fri for 2 nights. Staff helpful."

"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

"Excellent place for families, a rural house where you can experience the life of a small town in northern Spain. The house is well equipped, with comfortable bathroom and bedrooms. The town has an ATM, some small restaurants and a small supermarket. Situated in the middle of mountains and amazing parks. Very safe roads and very friendly local people"
