"The apartment is nice but since this is NOT a hotel there is no front desk and you need to tell in advance what time are you arriving so they will be there. If you arrive earlier, even if it is after the check in, you can't enter./ I was with my family waiting in the curb for someone to open de apartment."

"A lovely place, very close to the city centre and staff was incredibely kind and helpful! I couldn't make it to breakfast on the day of my departure due to leaving early in the morning, and the staff prepared a paper bag with breakfast for to take on the road! Very pleased with the stay!"

"The host was lovely. She made fresh breakfast in the morning for the guests. The place was nice and clean. Host was flexible with the check in. I didn’t hear any noise from the other guests either. "

"The place is very quiet and beautifully kept. I had the view of the castle from our room. The room was very comfortable and large. Super clean and convenient location. The breakfast was lovely and variety of food (fruits,breads, cheese, coffee/tea, orange juice, jam/jelly, etc). The staff very friendly and welcoming. I would go back in a heartbeat! "

"Like a lot of hotels at the moment, these guys need customers to generate income so they can invest/renovate/upgrade what they are offering. The staff were great and the location is overlooking the Atlantic is amazing."

"The property is potentially charming. It is centrally located, close to the beach, and quiet. Climbing up and down from floor to floor can be challenging, especially if carrying anything, or if you need to make a bathroom trip from the bedroom in the middle of the night. The kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, pots, pans, dishes and silverware, but not much in the way of cooking essentials (salt, pepper, oil, coffee, tea, etc.) It was also quite damp throughout (the dehumidifier required...

"This is a fraud. When I arrived the house was already occupied and the owner never answered. After one hr of waiting one lady came and took me to her house 20mins away and charged me 40 euros for one room with broken shower no any other facilities. The lady said the owner is out of portugal never could get the answer from him. I denied the regund from the owner. Dont book here"

"The room was better than on the photos: I recommend properly managenent to pay more attention to quality of pictures you have (atm there just 6 which show not everything in the room). Property is very close to the beach, restaurants and bus station. Easy check-in in the another hotel in front. Room is cozy and big, has partial view to the ocean and 2 small balconies. "Our stay in Batalha could have started out poorly as William notified us the night before our arrival that our reservation had not recorded properly, and there was no availability for our first night. He quickly made the situation right by finding us a great hotel in town for the first night. Olive Hill is as nice as it looks in the photos, and clearly William is cut out for his second career in hospitality. We’d definitely stay there again."
