You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Head up to our creek cabin!

Nested in the trees, on Christopher Creek, enjoy the opportunity to leave your troubles behind in comfortable summer temperatures. Create memories with your friends and family while sitting (napping?) on the deck as the water bubbles by. If you prefer to move around, there are many hiking trails outside the cabin door, also a short 15-20 minute walk to local restaurants.

This double A frame cabin has one bedroom on the main floor with a full-size bed and a set of bunk beds. The TV room has a pull-out couch, the loft upstairs has a Queen. Two adorable bathrooms with claw foot bath tubs for leisurely soaks, (one has a shower). Towels and sheets are provided.

Kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, blender, waffle maker, coffee and tea provided, basic spices and condiments.

There are two sitting areas on either side of the house allowing separate time for kids and adults; the yard is fenced, dogs (maximum 2) under 30 lbs. each permitted. The fence is pretty short in some area's (~30") which should be taken into consideration.

The temperature can fluctuate during the day in the summer months. We have two split unit HVAC units if it gets warmer in the afternoons. For cooler weather, the same units provide heat.

Your children are welcome, please note the deck and spiral staircase to the loft have open railings and are not child-proof.

We offer WiFi, the TV is available to play DVD's with a small selection provided, or rental options available in the supermarkets in Payson. The Roku is available in guest mode to allow sign-in to your favorite streaming services.

Verizon has a cell tower in the area providing cell service to the neighborhood.

If you have an electric car, we have a NEMA 14-50 plug available for charging.

Nice Stay Beside Christopher Creek
We had a wonderful family Thanksgiving at the cabin. We saw elk and javalenas from the deck and our 8 year old had a fun time playing around the creek.

Wonderful Cozy cabin!
We stayed here with our 2 teen boys and dog. The owners are very generous and provide so many amenities. It is a great little cabin for a short family trip.

Before school get away
We had a fantastic stay. House was clean, and also a lot bigger then the pictures made it seem. Creek is right outside of the back patio. Elk wandered the roads and even hung out in the front yard eating off the trees. Would definitely recommend!

This cabin was a lovely stay for me and my two kids to play in the creek. The creek is right outside and lovely to sit on the patio listening to the water. Plenty of space. The outside needs a little love with tons of cob webs but the inside was clean, lots of games and nice little kitchen.

A must stay!!!
My family and I absolutely loved this home. The hosts were fast responders and very welcoming. The creek we couldn't play on due to the heavy rains making it more like a river but a hammock set up by the creek with my favorite book was so peaceful. They had everything we needed to make home-cooked meals and a fenced front yard for our kids and dog to play in. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks so much!

What a delightful gem. Great location overlooking the creek, spacious interior (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 lounge areas), relaxing exterior (decking at the rear complete with both lounge and dining furniture AND a propane fire pit), and with all the creature comforts of home.

2nd time was just as magical
We stayed here last summer and absolutely fell in love with the property and our time spent here. We came back 1 year later and will make this an annual trip. This time we saw a GIANT elk in the front yard, and explored more of the creek, catching crawdads and walking up and down the waterway. If you come across this listing, sign up immediately! Cabin on the Creek!
View of and access to the Creek definitely make this Cabin a “gotta stay” destination! Very close to local lakes and towns for activities…or just stay there and soak up the forest! Cabin was well appointed—lots of little extras in the kitchen, in case you forgot something! The bedroom in the loft is definitely meant for younger knees (and bladders) as the 2 bathrooms are on the main floor. Beautiful wall of windows in the great room/dining/kitchen area. Awesome back deck allows supervision of the kiddos in the creek or a great place for the evening wine! Definitely recommend.

Great stay in Christopher Creek
We had a great stay with our 4 year old son and dog. The location is perfect, right on the creek and everything is as advertised. We enjoyed playing in the creek, exploring the area and eating at the nearby restaurants m. Two things of note:there are a lot of spider webs, not a big deal for us and my son loved destroying them. Second the bathroom with the shower and washer/dryer had a bad septic smell while we were there. Since it was just the 3 of us we just used the other bathroom during our stay. It did not subtract from our trip at all.

Wonderful stay on the creek!
Very cute cabin right on the creek! The cabin itself is darling and has everything you need. I was especially pleased with the quality of the kitchen knives and sautee pans as I enjoy cooking. If you're used to a pillow top or memory foam mattress, you may want to bring a topper. While the beds weren't "uncomfortable" they could have been more comfortable for our personal preference. Every morning we enjoyed our cup of coffee on the back deck listening to the water. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Peter, the host, was very friendly and quick to communicate and accommodate our needs. Overall we had a very nice stay and would absolutely stay again! Thank you for having us!

So good I almost don't want to share
This place is incredible. The location is wonderfully serene, right on the creek. The kitchen has plenty of room for multiple people to help prep, and all the utensils, cooking tools, and dishes you could need. There are thoughtful details throughout including spare hats, hiking and tourist information, board games and puzzles, room dividers, phone charging stations, clothes washer/dryer with detergent, and many others too numerous to mention. This is a lived-in and much-loved building. Bear in mind that as an A-frame building with wood floors, it is impossible to exist stealthily in the building. The floor will squeak when walked upon, and any conversation in the loft will be perfectly audible to people in the common areas. The building also settles at night. Also, the loft is significantly warmer than the rest of the house unless the air is well-circulated with the provided fans. With those small caveats, this is an amazing place to unwind and enjoy the smell of the pine and the burbling of the creek outside.

What we liked about this property - great place for our family Christmas gathering! Lots of seating/room options for us to spread out as well as be together for meals/games. Such an eclectic mix of furnishings only added to the home-feel. The back deck overlooking the creek was extra special, as was the luxurious claw foot tub (w/red-painted nails on the feet!). The kitchen was very well supplied - great job! Only thing we all said something slightly negative about: the showerhead in the main bathroom. It looks like a "rain" showerhead-type, but the water sprayed in every direction, wetting the heads of those who weren't even washing their hair. A small detail, but since all 4 of us mentioned... That said, we would still return to this property. The owners were very communicative and accommodating, even checking on us once we arrived to be sure everything was okay; they even welcomed the family dog, who loved running around in the fenced yard!
