This property was amazing in more ways than one. The property is not only beautiful and well taken care of, with all the necessities needed, it’s also located perfectly to lake, creek, hiking and markets. I loved the property so much that I have already recommended it to others! It was a perfect family weekend!
my brothers sons and grandsons do a yearly get together and do some hiking and fishing i highly recomend this place worked out perfect with hiking trails right out side and the fishing at woods canyon lake just 15 minutes away
the acomedations were perfect checked all the boxes and the host responded to all our questions within minutes did not have to wait at all
Wife and I loved our stay. Only needed one of the five bedrooms, but really enjoyed the coziness of the cabin. Spent much of our time sitting on the uber comfortable leather couches in front of fireplace, watching snow fall for three solid days. Located very close to highway and local restaurants yet still felt secluded. Keep in mind that the local Christopher Creek store is closed during winter season so be sure to stock up with what you need in Payson or you’ll have to make a trip all the way back into town. Outstanding communication with Property Managers…had slight problem with Satellite TV connection that was immediately addressed and resolved. We will be back, only with a larger group next time. Place can easily accommodate at least 12 adults.
Stayed at the home with the family. 15 of us total. The bedroom situation worked well for our family. Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were stocked well with what was needed for our stay (towels, toiletries like soap, shampoo and conditioner). Back room, which is roght pff the kitchen, has two extra fridges and laundry, as well as an extra kitchen table if you run out of seating space inside.
Only downside, which was made clear to us upon check in, is that WiFi may be slow due to location. We had all cell phones and tablets connected , so in the evening it would get a little slow, but we would disconnect all unnecessary electronics from WiFi as needed.
Overall enjoyed our stay as it was a nice, quiet neighborhood. You could easily see stars at night.
The cabin was perfect, very clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Great open space, enough tables to eat at. Loved all the books and games that were there. Also loved that there was cable to watch anything. We had a great time and am thankful that the cabin to be available
This is the best property we have stayed at. Plenty of room for all of us. Sharing rooms can be annoying but everyone had their own room with their own bathroom! Best part coming up from Phoenix it rained every night.
My family and I stayed this last weekend to attend a concert in Payson. It was great because it was close to town and all of the restaurants and grocery stores, yet still “remote” feeling like you’re in the woods. Pat and Allen were great hosts.
No complaints. Comfy and would come back again. Recommended. Good for large groups 9+
Stayed here as a group of 9. All couples had their own rooms. It was great. And only two rooms had to share a bathroom. Even better.
Plenty of space in living room for all of us to hang out together. Large table could fit us all around it. A lazy susan would have been a perfect add-on to the table.
We went for a hike one morning. Bout a 30 min drive. Very enjoyable to be out and about in the forest and creeks.
Pros: 2 fridges! Good space. Easy to find off the road. Quiet. Allowed us to check in much earlier so we could start enjoying our weekend! Kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and items for us to use (corkscrew and cheese grater was there!). There was a vending machine in the back room! Nice! Didnt use it but nice option in case you needed a snack or drinks.
Cons: a couple of the beds could be updated, agreeing with a prior review. A/c was sort of inconsistent (very cold in some spots and not in others, but acceptable)
But we loved the space and was nice to spend it here with our friends and family. Thank you. And we recommend it here.

Location was not what we expected
The location of the property was backed up right next to a separate cabin rental company and the traffic was terrible. There was no back yard and the furniture on the front porch didn’t even have cushions. We messaged the owner about the cushions and they responded saying they did not have any. The inside was not as the pictures showed. The home is very outdated and had a strange sour smell. The bed sheets had fur and human hair on them as if they were never cleaned (we had to cover them with our own sheets). The bedroom with the twin beds was very uncomfortable because the mattresses were very hard and had indents in them as if they were overdue for replacement. Honestly, all beds need to be replaced on the home. Overall we would not stay again and the home was misrepresented from its pictures.
A great house and location for relaxing and taking advantage of all of the things to do around Payson and the rim. Lots of space inside and out. Minutes from a few restaurants, hiking, and more!
We really enjoyed our family time, even with the cold & a little snow! Appreciated the variety of room/beds & ensuites.
Interesting to have a collection of DVDs but no player. Could have used more silverware.
I loved the cabin. Three of the bedrooms have in-suite bathrooms. There was plenty of seating in the common areas. The cabin had a really nice comfortable feeling about it. I loved sitting on the porch looking at the trees during the day and seeing all the stars at night.
The owner was very responsive to the minor issues I encountered during the stay. None of the issues interfered in anyway with the stay or my enjoyment of my time there.
Great location. Accommodations worked very well for our family of 9 (6 adults/3kids). Very clean. Host was accommodating with early check in. Enjoyed our weekend getaway.

Limited Stay
The property has a beautiful front deck and entrance. There is ample room for a family, with a cozy ranch style atmosphere. We arrived in the afternoon with a typical Az summer temperature. The A/C was not working and the interior was very warm. We called the owner and waited 7 hours for service. Since the owner was not able to send anyone, we left that night. After negotiation calls to the owner, he did give us a complete refund of our booked 4 night stay. The owner also answered our calls in a very prompt manner. We would not book this property again unless assured that the problems with the A/C and the kitchen refrigerator were addressed. But again, the location is very nice.
Everything was great from the start. Patrick was informative and helpful from the start. The cabin was very spacious. We had 6 staying there and 2 friends who came for dinner. The deck was perfect for socializing and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and pans. I'm looking forward to going back.
Couldn’t have asked for a better place. The area so peaceful and tranquil if you’re looking for a change of pace from the city. It is a large enough house for a large family gathering. Patrick was awesome enough to increase our guest stay to a little more than what the house allowed. Great natural scenery from the living area. The only challenge we had was with the internet service; the tv would keep Lodi g the movie we were watching.... I think it was because we were in the middle of the woods:)
