We loved the short walk down to the food and pubs in Clarecastle and everything about the house was magical. I would HIGHLY recommend this house for a large group. Plenty of space for each couple and each bedroom having it's own bathroom was awesome. We would love to come back again! "

"Would thoroughly recommend this home to stay for a large family, there was plenty of space for our family group of 6 adults and one child. The property was clean and tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The outside space was great, we enjoyed using bbq and dining on the decking area which had a large table to seat us all. "My husband and I enjoy quiet properties with good opportunities for walks. Having stores and a great restaurant within walking distance is even better. This property had all that and more. Views on all sides, quiet and so comfortable. Theresa is a great host... It took us no time to feel right at home. Be sure to visit The Stand for a tasty meal and entertainment. "It is a delightful cottage on a stud farm. Very peaceful. Access to small town nearby for shopping. We visited the Dingle Peninsula and other places on the west coast though they were quite far away. Thoroughly recommend it for the peace and quiet and beautiful srroundings"

"We had 8 adults to celebrate 2 birthdays in Ireland! The house & surroundings were impeccable. We were able to let ourselves in very easily. Peter checked in to see if there was anything we needed. He also checked in days before to offer any last minute items. A wonderful host, in deed! The beds were comfy, plenty of hot water, nice towels & the list goes on. Six people flew into Dublin from Alaska & were driven to this home. A wonderful quiet way to start off our trip. Many close by activities...

Our lovely host, Marion, shared the rich history of the barricks with us and we were amazed at how much work went into restoring the property. "We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for our family to be able to cook together, play games, and explore the grounds. The kitchen is well stocked and has an amazing formal dining room for meals. The grounds are beautiful to walk and the view from the home of the Shannon River are lovely. WiFi was strong and supported streaming and Zoom calls. The host was lovely and extremely responsive. "

Pier and gathering areas available. On-site cafe for light snacks, coffee and drinks. Very pleased with the quiet, private location. Active farming area. Close to many restaurants and pubs in Limerick.. Top of the Town Restaurant and Pub nearby in Askeaton. Overall, highly recommended for a unique stay."
