The Olive Gate Guest House.... A Reborn Classic historic home in downtown Paso Robles. This 1920's home with welcoming red accents throughout is completely remodeled on the inside in contemporary style, leading to a sense of playfulness and fun found in few rentals. This Paso Robles classic comes with stylish furniture and artwork that makes you feel as though you are in a designer update on a classic home. One bedroom downstairs off the living area and two bedrooms upstairs. The large backyard with multiple patio seating areas makes this the perfect home for entertaining friends and enjoying a Mid-Coast evening in the comfort of your own private space. Enjoy all the comforts and convenience of home in a memorable location. An easy stroll past picket fence yards to world class restaurants, shopping, wine-tasting rooms, antiques stores, and movie theatres. A visit to Paso Robles and The Olive Gate is immersing yourself in our friendly, simpler lifestyle. Hospitality is the town's middle name. Return from your visits to the various wine trails, farmers' market, or Mid-State Fair and be greeted by the friendly, bright red front door. (Current Summer 2023 construction next door may not be ideal for daytime sleepers.)
City Permit #STR19-0250. ***Five Star Coffee Program- We start your stay with a supply of coffee, filters, coffee pods, cream, and sugar for our provided drip and pod-style coffee makers onsite at every home.

The home was clean and well appointed. We had a bit of an A/C issue during the recent heat wave. Paso Robles Vacation Rentals was very responsive and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure our vacation wasn't ruined. I would highly recommend renting any property from them.

Very nicely furnished home with a great backyard. The location is perfect for walking to city square. The stairs are steep, but one lovely large bedroom upstairs and a dormer room with 2 twin beds are upstairs with a double sink bath. We had everything we needed except Kleenex. Loved the coffee assortment!

A great home base for a wine tasting tour
We loved staying at Olive Gate. The home was cozy with everything we needed. The front porch and front yard are picturesque and the backyard is fabulous. We spent many evenings out there sitting around a fire and playing cards. It’s situated just blocks from the main downtown area with lots of restaurants, bars and wine tasting. We will definitely be interested in staying here again in the future.

Just as listed, very clean, well stocked kitchen, back yard is very nice but we caught a rainy weekend but it looks great for hanging on a spring/summer/fall night. Convenient to downtown park/ coffee/eateries. Queen beds were nicely made and firm. Bedroom one and three a little tiny bit over all this house was super cute and comfortable.

The Olive guest cottage was wonderful! Great location, easy walk to shopping and restaurants. House and yard were immaculate! Cozy and beautifully decorated! Back yard was so inviting! Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so weren’t able to enjoy it. We had an amazing stay here and would definitely come back again!

Dog friendly and great location.
We stayed at Olive Gate for a long weekend. We have two dogs and are always looking for rentals with fenced in yards and places to relax and socialize outside. Olive Gate had beautiful front and back yards completely fenced in and quite a few areas to mingle outside. The location was great and in walking distance of shops, bars, and restaurants downtown. The house was clean, well decorated, and even though the house is older it had modern furniture and appliances. One item to note is that the largest beds are Queen sized which was a tight squeeze for us and the dogs. Overall we had a great stay!
