"Absolutely disgusting place. Unhygienic and unsafe for a child/ any family. It instantly smelt of rats and it was clear the apartment had not been cleaned. Multiple dead animals were found, including cockroaches in the shower. The utensil cupboard, which smelt horrendous, was clear that rats were living in there as multiple rat droppings would appear daily. The people were nice but I believe it was unnecessary that 3 adults (2 men and 1 women) show up, on my first night, at the door at 11pm. I...

"This hotel is very nice and has a studio"esque" about the rooms, every component of the hotel is extremely clean and very new. The reception staff have poor English but are very helpful. The hotel pool is based within the courtyard of rooms and is too very nice. A couple of downers about this hotel is the smell when you turn the shower and other taps on, it's as if the hotel isn't quite properly finished, the stench of the sewers is horrific. "Location is really close to the Thai Embassy, and has enough spots nearbye to get some food with a close walk. Also a continence store and gyms nearby. Happy with my stay here and it's a great price for what you get."

"I had an amazing time lazing around the pool at the Bali Beach Hotel. The hotel has been recently renovated so everything is new and clean. I can tell a lot went into the refurb of this hotel. Amazing views, staff were so helpful and accommodating. Have never had breakfast this good! I also found Sunar a little less crazy busy which was a nice change."

"Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff & very nice location on the beach. Very comfortable room with quality toiletries. A manual juicer in the room to juice your own oranges which you can get for no charge by calling housekeeping. "We had a great experience at The Samata, from the moment we checked in until we checked out. Communication was clear and the staff accommodated our schedules. We had tours every day so they had our breakfast (included with our package) packed and ready to go prior to us leaving for the day. The rooms were clean, although there were occasional small bugs/lizards. Didn’t really bother us though. Our private 2br villa was spacious and we appreciated the privacy. Location wise, it was about 30-40 mins away from the airport. A little farther to Ubud, so it depends what your itinerary is. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend. Thank you The Samata for making our first time in Bali a great experience! "
