There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. "It was clean and well presented, the owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, fairly spacious with a most excellent shower. We missed breakfast the first morning due to taking part in an event, but found they had left us some bananas and apples for us. We had the full breakfast the next day which was spot on. And they have their own parking spots for 4 cars! Definitely will use again , as we had a lovely stay. "

"We had a great stay at the lodge. It was clean and comfortable with everything you needed for an easy stay. The location is remote but there are so many lovely places around to visit and some great walks and amazing scenery. We only stayed for 3nights but would have happily stayed longer and hope to return. Communication with Julie was easy, who responded quickly to a few enquiries I had. Would definitely recommend!"
