"Malaga Lodge Guesthouse was a tidy, quiet hostel within walking distance of the main areas/attractions of the city. Only complaint is that no instructions were provided for check-in and there's no one onsite. We had to buzz the intercom (connected to someone's phone) for 15 minutes (within the listed check-in hours) before anyone answered and let us in."

"I loved the location and the option to have breakfast. As a sole traveller I wanted somewhere safe and convenient. The room wasn’t very big, but again I was solo as. It had what I needed and a kettle. You could also use the kitchen up until 8.00pm which was an added bonus. You could walk to a nice beach in about 30 minutes, port took me about 25 and the old town around 20. There were buses if you wanted to do that. "The room was very small but cheap. The location was perfect and the room and building were clean. there is a lot of building work going on locally, but that will pass. Ideal if you are travelling on a budget."

"Would defo recommend staying here! Apartment was lovely and so central! Could be noisy but to be expected where it was located. I would definitely stay here again next time I stay in Malaga "

"Be aware that as of March 2025 ongoing roadworks is happening in the street that the property is on. They did email after the room was booked and gave me the option to cancel. It would be better to know this information before booking rather than after booking. It would be useful to have a mat by the entrance to the mainHallway to brush sand off shoes before entering building. There is a communal kitchen in the reception area where you can make teas and coffees, etc and take them to your room....

"Excellent place, rooms spacious and clean as are the bathrooms. Great locations just 10 minutes walk into the centre of the old town. Safe around the property. Great value, would recommend if you are after somewhere to base for a short city break. There is a large kitchen and dining communal area but we didnt use it. "

"I loved this property from the moment I saw the pictures. It was so unique and comfortable and exactly what I was looking for, Every detail was covered from the water in the fridge to the hairdryer and soaps. Breakfast was delicious and very pretty! You have your own entry, keys, bathroom and bedroom. Steep stairs to bedroom, fine for me but might be difficult for others. "The nearby area is very industrial with limited options for dining. Was very pleased to find updated room with refrigerator and pot for making tea/coffee. Check in was 2 short blocks away from room. Staff at front desk extremely helpful in explaining bus transportation to city center, and I was very appreciative that the staff let me store by bags after checkout as I had a late flight out of Malaga. Special mention to Tomás and Sol."

"We had an amazing stay for 10days .. was nice to be close to Malaga yet out enough to have peace and quiet. The children loved the pool and having no neighbours meant we did not have to worry about their noise. We saw wildlife and would watch the gecko’s at night. Owners are amazing and friendly.. definitely recommended the house for anyone who wants to be off the grid!!!"

"Very nice apartment in historic center of Malaga. Nicely furnished and quiet, fantastic location. All restaurants and coffee shops practically around the corner. Good communication and front desk is very responsive. A few negatives: some mild sewer odors in bathroom as there is no ventilation. Very small bathroom and shower. No closets or storage. "

"It was my second time to stay at this property. I love the location. They do not have 24 hour front desk service and they only clean the room every three days. I was able to ask for extra towels. The girl at the front desk was not as friendly as the girl who was there on my previous trip. They have complementary soft drinks, fruit, and snacks."
