"Very eclectic and quirky hotel, with rooms just as much so. Truly loved it! Super comfy bed and divine smelling bathroom products, eminent of the Australian bush. Attached to the Blacktown drive in cinema which is a unique and fun attraction. The Royal Cricketer’s Arms hotel next door is a great option for dining out. "We had a spacious comfy room and bed ! We al enjoyed breakfast on the premises. However the TV had no access to EPG or ability to change colour or brightness settings - nor did it have subtitles! Also we could not reduce the AC in the room and it was really too hot at 24deg on the night we stayed . These issues were disappointing, however ang staff we encountered were eager and helpful."

Modern, spacious and super clean

"The Darling at The Star is an up-market hotel in a fabulous location, perfect for business and leisure trips. The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The short walk across the bridge to the Sydney CBD is enjoyable and there are many great restaurants and bars in close proximity."

"The hotel is clean, comfortable and modern. The rooms feel a bit snug, but they have everything you need. We got a room which overlooked the harbour. The beds were very comfortable and the complimentary tea and coffee were good. The hotel is really close to the Metro station and the train station too, so very easy to move by train or bus. Only inconvenient is I had booked a twin bedroom as staying with a friend, but they had a king sized bed arrangement and could only split the beds up for the second night. If you need twin beds, you have to ask specifically when booking (even when you book a twin bed room). "

The Star Grand Hotel and Residences Sydney

"The only fault i can say is that cleaners need to "dust" a lot more. The backboards to the bed, looking up to the ceiling, on lamp fixtures, bedside tables and entertainment units were quite dusty and dirt marks on ceiling. One of the air conditioning vents also need to be cleaned as well.So much so that I had to go and purchase a antihistamine for my daughter as it ser her allergies off and she got hives. Apart from that, EVERY member whether it be reservation desk, porters, maintenance and staff walking around the floor demonstrated staff demonstrated EXCELLENT customer service skills, were EXTREMELY polite, ALWAYS offered assistance, EXTREMELY accommodated and were EXTREMELY wonderful people to interact with. The Harvest Buffet particularly breakfast served EVERY kind of breakfast foods possible. The food was always fresh. Would DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again in the future. "
