Nice and quiet place
We really enjoy Park Rapids and enjoy staying there. It's a great place for mentally young couple like us ;) Kayaking, the woods, biking, was fun and it was quiet especially at night.

Ideal lakeside retreat!
Absolutely beautiful grounds, pristine accommodations, and super friendly hosts. This was absolutely the best place that we’ve stayed. We would definitely think about returning and highly recommend Wildwood and Liz. We had a great time fishing in the extremely clean lake and watching the beautiful sunsets from the lovely dock. Nature also abounds with the eagles , loons, and woodpeckers.

Great accommodations close to Lake Itasca State Park
Liz and Phil are terrific hosts. Eagles Loft is a really nice unit with a full kitchen. The unit is exactly as described and shown. We were able to prepare all of our meals during our one week stay. Liz and Phil were available for any questions we had. They were "on call", but allowed us complete privacy. We made daily trips to Lake Itasca State Park for kayaking, hiking, and bicycling. Very pleasant stay and we can recommend highly.

Beautiful Northwoods Getaway
We enjoyed a secluded, and very comfortable long weekend at the Eagle’s Nest this month. Our hosts were amazing, Liz met us with keys as we drove in. She is gracious and so thoughtful, there are so many extra little touches in the cabin to ensure guests comfort. Park Rapids is about 10 minutes away, it’s a welcoming environment for tourists, and we’d highly recommend Necce’s Italiano. There are many shops in the downtown worth checking out! Itasca State Park is about 25 min from Park Rapids, and it was really beautiful! We’d recommend this getaway for two, and are planning to visit again. Thanks Liz and Phil!

Beautiful view, quiet setting
We were greeted by Liz as we arrived, and she had the VRBO all warmed up on a crisp October evening. The location was wonderful, secluded and beautiful with the fall leaves and wildlife. We took advantage of the area activities by biking the Heartland Trail, hiking around Itasca State Park and using the kayaks provided to paddle around Fishhook Lake. We were also pleased with our meals from the local restaurants and brought takeout back to the VRBO. A couple of amenities that could have made our stay even better: we would have liked a place to play board games, and the chairs for watching movies were not very comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Peaceful Paradise!
My wife and I stayed in this charming lakeside loft for a quick weekend getaway for our 14th wedding anniversary. It was relaxing, peaceful, and rejuvenating! The rented space was clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony to sit outside and enjoy the sounds of the forest and lake in comfort. We especially enjoyed having access to the kayaks to explore the lake and the dock to watch the sunset. Liz and Phil are experts with hospitality and were waiting for us to greet us when we arrived. They anticipated all our needs, from comfortable amenities to supplying all the small things in case you forgot to pack something. The kitchenette was well stocked so that you can cook simple meals in it. While there are certainly many great restaurants in Park Rapids and the surrounding towns, it is nice to have the option to prepare meals in as well. We spent one of our days biking Itasca State Park, and the giant jacuzzi tub made for a perfect way to relax after a 20+ mile bike ride. We would definitely stay here again, and we plan on making this lakeside retreat our go-to option when we need to get away to lakes country! Thank you Liz and Phil for making our weekend away so special!

Great place in a great setting
This is a wonderful place, basically two large spaces with the bedroom/bathroom/sitting area toward the front, with a view of Fishhook Lake - oh and also a balcony. In the rear is the kitchen and another seating area with a different kind of great view, the quiet trees of the property's large acreage. Very private and very quiet.

My husband and I had a day and a half off and wanted to spend some quiet time exploring lakes in the area. This was the perfect spot. Liz made everything so easy and the property was beautiful. They thought of everything you might need in the suite. Highly recommend!
