"This is a stunning properly, off the beaten track but near enough to drive to Autun to see the sights and dine out. The decor is stylish and contemporary, the bed was huge, as was the room. Lounge very relaxing. Everything spotless. Great outside facilities for relaxing, and lovely setting. The breakfast was fabulous. Attentive host. "

"This is a diamond in the heart of one of France’s greatest wine regions Burgundy. Colette is a wonderful host full of love for each guest. I was treated like a relative not seen in some time. The memories of this visit are etched in my mind for a lifetime!"

"Maison Sainte Barbe is a little haven of peace and loveliness, in an ancient building that has been sympathetically cared for. It was our final stop on a 2500 mile roadtrip before heading to Ouisteham, and I'd have been glad to stay longer. The rooms we had were large, airy, sensitively decorated and warm (when it was cold outside). "Lovely stay - very welcoming and flexible with check in time. Spacious room and quiet location. We were in a top level room which was on the third floor - be aware there is no lift as you would expect staying in a heritage building. Stairs were nice and wide which made it easier to carry luggage. "

"The historic home gave everyone their own space and plenty of activities. With loads of character and modern convenience we had everything we needed for a great summer holiday. With the weather being warm the pool was a welcome relief and had naturally warmed up to 23. The location was very central in burgundy and we had some great day trips. Highly recommended."
