The Neighborhood:
Geographically defined by the quaint bohemia of Canal Saint-Martin and the bustle of the Gare du Nord international train station, the 10th Arr. is a centrally-located gem of a Parisian neighbourhood, with diverse and inventive cuisine, excellent local bars, and some of the best boutique shopping in town.
While there’s no museum or historic architectural site to anchor the neighbourhood, it’s one of the best areas to see what it’s actually like to live in Paris as Parisians do—which, let’s face it, is a fantasy even the most adventurous travellers aspire to. It’s a little bit sleepier here—ardent nightlifers may want to venture elsewhere for clubbing—but the neighbourhood does have several after-hour standouts.
Getting Around:
Not far from the favorite places of the locals, the apartment is very easy to access. You will be able to easily access the area with the main transportation of Paris. In particular with the metro lines 3, 8 and 9 as well as the lines H and L of the Transilien. The extensive bus network will allow you to reach the main areas of Paris and thus make the most of your stay. If you like the outdoors, you can also get around easily with the self-service electric bikes and scooters, just a few minutes' walk from the apartment.
