Excellent value-for-value central location hotel
Great choice for a hotel with a limited budget...very central location in the heart of Paris. It is also with Saint Lazare station, a major interchange Metro station just down the road for easy access. 5mins walk away. Also on same street is a Mark & Spencer supermarket for you to buy food & groceries in case you want to save instead of eating out. Room is rather basic but clean & adequate given the price you are paying. The bathroom is huge, water pressure was excellent as most importantly very very clean. Con...no cable TV with only local French channels ; hotel is quite old and hence the furniture as well as the creaky bed BUT nevertheless functional. There is also no electric kettle for use in case you want to boil water. The reception staff also speaks good English and generally very friendly & helpful. Will definitely consider using this hotel again if I am ever in Paris.

Clean but shabby and no follow up
The bathroom facilities and bed were clean, carpets and other bits shabby. There was a mix up when I checked out which meant that I couldn't get an invoice for the city tax and I was told at the reception that they would follow up if I would leave my email address. This has not happened so far.

hotel was clean just needed a refresh in décor, pleasant staff, clean sheets and towels and room tided every day, did not eat at the hotel as thought it was over priced so went to MC Donalds round the corner for breakfast for coffee and pancakes overall exeperince was ok as we just showered and slept there

I can never trust Expedia again!!!
We used your services before and we were very happy with Expedia. BUT NOT THIS TIME!!! The pictures that were shown on the website were total oppposite of what the hotel was really like!!! The hotel was smelly, old, run down, and nothing of what we had expected. I was willing to pay more, but have a pleasant experience You deceited us and we can never trust your website again :( :( :(

I am clearly disappointed by the service which is not at all friendly with customers. I had a serious problem with the invoice, the hotel service lied, saying it was possible to stay longer and have just one invoice at the end, but at the departure day, said it was actually not possible. I won't advice my colleagues to book at this hotel for their business trip.

Cheap and unclean
Looks nice from the outside but looks are deceptive. Once you enter the lift there is a stale odour which continues through the rest of the hotel. The bathroom was mouldy, dirty with peeling paint. The foldaway bed had springs sticking through the mattress, and the carpet was putrid.

Fourth visit to Hotel
Very enjoyable. Have used hotel a number of times in the past as it is convenient for public transport and our needs. In places it looks a bit tired but entirely adequate. Value for money and very helpful and convivial staff.

Surly unhelpful very rude staff
Absolutely horrible experience at Pavillion St Augustin disgraceful rude and unhelpful staff. Lost our laundry and tried to make it our fault. Thank heavens for a chef that heard the commotion and took proactive action to sort things out. Staff members do not display their names. AIR-CONDITIONING although advertised was not working. No shower screens near impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. Paris really beautiful - hotel definitely not recommended.

Beware - no air con.
Bit dated, things seem to be breaking. e.g. phone in my room didn't work, they have only one or two people manning the front desk so they're not that keen to come up to fix things. Also no air con which is a problem in height of summer. Had no towels the first day, also no iron available (1 or 2 to share between whole hotel).

I booked this hotel for 6 nights and paid in advance.  The staff was rude and not honest.  Their website clearly states that the rooms are air-conditioned.  But they denied that this claim was made.  The air conditioner was obviously there, but they refused to turn it on.  In Paris.  In July.  It was unbearable.  The most frustrating part was that the hotel claimed one thing on paper yet denied it.  It was a dirty, ill-kept hotel.

A step up from a hostel
Things look ok when you walk in, but then you go up to the rooms. There's grime and I assume mold around the tub walls, stains on the carpet, chair and lamp shades. The bed is very very uncomfortable, I woke up sore and in pain every morning. Also, they say free wifi, but it's only in the lobby of the hotel. They said it just doesn't reach up past the first floor. I asked for another room, they said they can't change it, only when I said I am going to check out, that's when they lifted a finger. Also, the do not disturb sign is ignored, they will knock every morning and if you answer then they leave and try again later even with the do not disturb sign on the door. If there is no answer, they will come in and "clean". Hence, lock everything everything away if you stay here. Horrible horrible stay, would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

No three star rating here.
I know Europe's rating system is generally a star higher than what you are actually receiving. This one should have been a one star. We left the first night. Didn't even want to stay there. Air conditioning was not working in most of the rooms (we had three), the night staff was unhelpful, manager could not be reached. Mold in the bathrooms, sunken beds, ripped and dirty carpet etc, etc, etc.

Absolutely disgusting!!
I cannot begin to describe how terrible the experience at this hotel was. First of all, it is absolutely filthy!!!! Oh but there’s more…The staff was rude, no AC, disgusting smell throughout the entire building, all TV stations were in French and to top it off the hotel charged my credit card 3 times the amount of my bill. Thankfully, my credit card company is disputing it for me. I honestly cannot say enough bad things about my experience at this hotel...I honestly just have to laugh about it. I literally went to the corner store and bought antibacterial spray to spray my room. When my coworker and I checked out (a day early...which was not soon enough), the lobby was full of people also checking out early as they could not handle it either!!! It was comical. I am pretty sure I was being filmed for some hidden camera comedy show as I cannot believe a hotel could be this awful!

Tired Pavillion
Only stayed one night, but this was a dated hotel at a high price and is not worthy of 3 stars. Both single beds, (asked for a double), were uncomfortable, the road is noisy and the room too hot so it's difficult to sleep. Carpets, walls are worn, tiles in bathroom are a mess. Not impressed at all, saw the other reviews but most hotels were booked up for the night we wanted! On top of that the car park around the corner was 28euros per 24hours!

Horrible and smelly hotel , certainly not the kind that you would find in any modern city. The hotel has not been refurbished since god alone knows when! I had just one night to stay so I managed somehow. The hotel is not worthy to be mentioned on any travel website ness you a a student on a budget trip!!! The staff though was friendly and helpful...some saving grace.
