Our apartment is located in the heart of the historical Saint Germain des prés- The latin quarters of Paris! For all inquiries please contact us at : paris.canettes@gmail.com

Our apartment has just been completely renovated with white walls, 18th century stone walls and 18th century beams in all the rooms.

We are on the 3rd floor with a large elegant stair case. Our apartment building has an elevator from the first floor up as well.

The apartment overlooks a large white courtyard with lots of sun coming in through the apartment all day.

Our windows are double glazed.

The bed is a comfortable Queen size bed. We also provide a fold out couch with a comfortable bed for 2 in the living room area.

The Kitchen is fully equipped.

Rue des Canettes is a historical street known for the its 17th Century buildings and charming restaurants.

We are located near all the lovely farmers markets, Theaters and romantic french cafes, bars and restaurants. We are just down the street from the world famous Cafe De Flore- a favorite of many great writers and artists (Hemingway, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Picasso, Serge Gainsbourg and more...), The Brasserie Lipp, Entrecôte and Les Deux Magots.

Our apartment is within walking distance of all the great historical monuments and museums of Paris.

The closet Metro stops are Saint Germain des Prés, Odéon and Mabillon.

We have all local markets, stores and patisseries near by.

We offer all information regarding tours, sight seeing and events here in Paris.

Perfect Parisian Apartment
We had a wonderful two weeks in Paris in late February/early March. The apartment was exactly as presented in the listing and was perfect for our needs during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed coffee from the Nespresso machine so much that we bought one when we got home. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet even though it is in the middle of the city. It was close to everything with several Metro stations nearby and numerous excellent restaurants within a few blocks. We look forward to coming back on our next trip to Paris. Merci Beaucoup to Charles and Tiffany for such a wonderful place.

Great location
Close to 3 metro stations and easy walk to Luxembourg Gardens! Convenient to multiple cafes,restaurants and shopping. Beds were very comfortable. Host was very easy to contact for questions.

Very disappointing
First of all this is not a 2 bedroom apartment. It has one small bedroom plus a small living area with a sofa bed. The bedding looked very old and not in good repair The towels initially provided were also old and had stains on some of them. We did complain to owner who did drop off new towels but they looked like they came right out of a shop and not washed. Small things like broken bowls, broken chopping board gave a very unsatisfactory feeling about the place. In addition the curtains over the windows did not cover all the window which meant light getting in. I have been to Paris over 10 times and this is the worst place I have stayed in.

Great little place!
We loved our stay. Perfect location for us as we love this neighborhood in Paris. Very walkable to everything we wanted to see but still felt off the tourist path. Close to plenty of cafes, markets & restaurants. Right near several metro lines and bike stands. It's a cozy & simple pace and we felt right at home.

Perfect apartment for travelers who want a unique apartment in a lively neighborhood. It was easy to access classic experiences like food, pastries, shopping, museums. Could not imagine a more central location. Apartment was great for our family of 4. We only really spent our morning and evenings in the apartment to unwind, eat, and talk about our day. If you are a family that really likes to lounge and hang out on your vacation, then the apartment may be just a bit small if you have older kids

An Old Guy Gets to Live the Bohemian Lifestyle
My wife and I had a wonderful time in Saint Germain and we hated to leave. We loved the apartment, the neighborhood and our brief emersion into this city. Right outside, the city is abuzz. The Lourve is a short walk away. The restaurants on the block were awesome. The pubs were loaded with Rugby fans in Paris for the World Cup, yet our retreat was homey and peaceful. Tiffany was great and the check-in was flawless. Awesome!

Quaint and central Parisian appartement
We stayed here for 10 days. Two adults, 2 children. We had a hectic tourist agenda. The flat was very central for all our destinations. It was close to public transport or otherwise close to enough to walk. As we were 4 and on a tourist mission, we often used Uber to get around at a descent price. The kitchen was well equiped and we had breakfast at the apartment every morning. The Secco pâtisserie provided fresh croisssants. The Monoprix supermarket nearby provided everything else. The building is surrounded by two dozen restaurants (Mordu, Café de la mairie were favourites) which made eating out or take-out convenient. Nearby Rue de Buci added further options. Despite crowds swarming around the building for dinner and drinks, ie a happening spot, this unit was quiet at night as the rooms and its windows give onto an inside courtyard. Finally, kudos to the hosts. Communications via text messages were answered promptly and all needs met to our satisfaction. No hesitations in recommending this rental for a family of four.

My niece Brooke and I LOVED our stay at this wonderful apartment in the heart of St. Germaine! We were able to walk to so many areas from there and the charm of this neighborhood was such a gift!! The apartment was very comfortable for both of us and just what we wanted to feel like we lived there for a moment in time❤️ Tiffany and Charles were so responsive to any email correspondence and made me feel so comfortable with the whole process. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything that we would need for the week. I would absolutely rebook and I would not hesitate to make this your spot for your next visit to Paris❤️

Great location to live like a Parisian
• Great location in terms of proximity to two different Metro stations and bus stops. We recommend taking the bus to be able to see all the stuff you miss when underground. Each bus ride seems like the greatest bus ride in the history of bus rides. • If you are physically able, walk as much as you can in Paris. In 11 full days of walking, I logged 140,000 steps. Had to mix in a rest day, but walking was worth it. • The Citymapper app is excellent for planning trips across the city on the buses and Metro. It even tells you the best Metro entrances and exits for each trip and (killer feature) where you should get on or off the train (end, middle, or front). • Injured myself going down the stairs in the dark on our last day, so be careful on these stairs. • To leave the building, press the bottom white plastic square button that is about 10 feet from the door that opens onto Rue des Canettes. Pressing the button unlocks the front door with a "click." A kind tenet of the building showed us this trick, and we wouldn't have known about it otherwise. • You might need a Ph.D. in showers to figure this one out. Took me at least five minutes of fiddling to figure out which knobs to turn which way, how far, etc., to get the right temperature and shower head. • It appears someone broke(?) the second shower door, so the entire floor gets soaked with water. Extra towels under the bed’s mattress, so put one on the floor. • The fuse box is behind the curtain just outside the shower room. If the power goes out, make sure all the switches are in the up position. • This IKEA mattress is one of the poorest mattresses we have ever slept on. The bed frame squeaks every time you adjust your body as you sleep. Sleep sleep creak creak sleep creak. A poor sleeping experience. We would have moved to a different place, but we were already locked in for two weeks. If sleep is vital to your existence, consider booking a different location. • The IKEA couch is not a viable sleep alternative. It's like any couch: minimal comfort and support. • The Epic grocery store around the corner is excellent and is more like Whole Foods. Monoprix is the place to go for more reasonably priced stuff. • One former guest of this place said she was kept awake by noise from area bars late into the night. We never experienced this in two weeks' time. All windows except the small toilet room window have two panes. • All things considered, we'll be back in the 4th next time.

We love neighborhoods that are safe and interesting to walk. This fit perfectly. Situated in a historical area with lots of open cafes and shops, we enjoyed leisurely evening walks for gelato and coffee at the local pub. The room was clean and comfortable while fitting perfectly in the historical setting.

starting off on a bad note left a lasting impression !
I won’t recommend this property to anyone over 25 .The noise on the weekends from the bar on the street that is adjoining starts at 1030 and continues till 2 in the morning both Saturday and Sunday ..The place needs an update.The broken toilet paper holder has been replaced with a straw holder kept on the floor .I inquired and the owner told me this was a cultural choice.I thought we were in the land of Louis Pasteur not a California dreamer .The bathroom basin does not hold water .Buy your own stopper if you want to wash lingerie at night .We we’re without tv for one week because the remote controls batteries were fused to each other and had not been replaced in some time .The owner did come promptly to fix both the refrigerator and the hot water in the kitchen sink .The bathroom soap dispense was chipped and broken and it contained no soap .We went to Momoprix and bought the bare necessities to start .I was told that it was not the obligation of the owner to provide soap not even one bar to begin .Not a nice tone and her retort that the soap dish still holds soap why should I complain ,left me writhing in anger .I have travelled to FrAnce for the last 35 years and even in one star hotels I received a bar of soap .Only after I threatened to contact Home away with photos of the soap dish and dirty placemats did we revive new one .We even revived new mattress covers to cover the dirty mattress on the convertible couch .This is not a two bedroom apartment .Placina divider between a couc and a bed doesn’t constitute two rooms .The comforter on the couch was so dirty with urine and blood stains I sent a photo to the owner who took two weeks to retrieve it .The entrance way curtain was als stained and hadn’t had a cleaning in some time .I had previously stayed in the same neighborhood but that apartment was unavailable .Full disclosure this is a commercial neighborhood with an iItalian restaurant on the first floor .Do not go out to the garbage without risking an encounter of a four legged creature .All the literature dates from 2012 and 2016 .Guide books that are outdated and should be updated .The owner from California and her husband did come to the apt to set us up on the internet .The placemats we’re replaced with new ones ,but I do not think it is my role as tenant for 6 weeks to have to do diligence .The owners should replace the couch which is permanently stains and the mattress in the double bed which is worn out and flattened after 6 yea

Overall, good location in a neighborhood w/ grocery, metros & a few great places to eat, including the pizza & crêperie locations right outside the door.. The flat is a 1-bedroom w/a pull out couch in the living room. Good space for 2 adults but feels a little tired. We also had to buy toilet paper but not a big deal. Interaction w/owner was prompt. Loved check-in! Instructions were clear & we were on our own timetable to arrive.

Lovely flat in great location
Great location with everything you need at your doorstep and walk to all the major sites. Suited our family of four well but would be a bit small for 4 adults. Loved Maison Mulot for our morning croissants and baguette and evening baguette too. Marché St Germain is just around the corner for food shopping along with Monoprix and Marks and Spencer. Cafes and restaurants plentiful too. Warm and comfortable for our winter stay. Very quiet apartment. Laundromat a short walk away.
