To noisy due to proximity to the train station. A train every few minutes made the ventilation grills rattle. I was surprised that I was able to sleep.

A hotel within Gare de l'Est
We had a hard time finding it at forst because the signage was blocked by construction. We couldn't believe it was at the Gare de l'Est- how convenient is that! One has to manage about 6 steps before reaching the elevator which will take you to the lobby.We had a quick and hassle free checkin. The room was adequate in size with a welcome tray of 2 free water bottles and coffee/tea. The bathroom was clean with amenities, including a shoe shine sponge! The breakfast area was very spacious. The buffet was abundant with lots of choices. Freshly squeezed orange juice to drink! Even though it was in the train station, we didn't hear any disturbing noises.Overall a pleasant stay.

Not a good choice
IF you are going to take a train that leaves/depart from the Gare de L’est train station this is a right choice in terms of location other than that I would not recommend this hotel. Hotel is outdated and smells really bad. Carpet in public areas is really really dirty. Rooms have what you need but getting to those that are in the third floor is annoying since there is no elevator. The combination of stairs plus luggage is not a good one. The bathroom in my room had a wood table placed under the sink, against the wall to cover the pipes but the table itself was smaller than the open space and was kind of wet. I could see behind the table the unfinished wall and all pipes. The hotel does not have an ice machine neither they can provide any ice at the front desk. Walking around the area is a No. I did not feel safe. It’s not a nice area and the people than hang around in groups of many look intimidating. To get to where the tourist attractions are are you must take the metro that is inside the train station.

Perfect location in gare de l’est
Great location with done fab bars v close. Nowhere to store bicycles though so we ended up sharing the small room with them. Staff helpful.

Good hotel bad neighborhood
The hotel and staff are wonderful and friendly. The hotel rooms could use a deep clean, especially the corners of the bathrooms. Our problem was the area is somewhat dangerous. We had four separate scary situations where we felt that having the front desk at the entryway would have prevented.

hello, reservation was for 6 nights, we stay 1 because: 1. Hotel has no sign, difficult to find. 2. Entrance smelled like urine 3. TV not working, lady at front desk told us tough luck. 4. Room smelled damped 5. AC work only in manual mode. 6. Wifi work 50%, limited to one device. Horrible experience! We switched to Holidays Inn across the street, huge difference.

We were greeted by some of the nicest people of our entire trip. We were a little early, but we were able to check in and go to our room as soon as we got there. The room was clean and comfy, but the entire hotel is quite shabby around the edges and could definitely use a facelift. The location was great with access to the metro right there. It was especially good for us, as we had a train to Strasbourg to catch in the morning and the hotel is in the station. Neither my son (22 yrs) or I heard any train noise. We would definitely stay here again simply for the location and the helpful friendly staff.

A one night stay to make connections to the airport. Staff was helpful in explaining the metro and bus system. Good bed and hot shower just what we needed.

Great for short stay.
Ideal for short stay. Close to Gare du Nord and at Gare de l’Est - straight to Metro through the station without going outside. Plenty of restaurants across the road bothgat food and normal bistro restaurants. Monop supernarket also straight across th road. Roons comfortable vlean and was expecting it to be noisy but it was surprisingly quiet.

My favorite hotel when i come to paris
I can only recommend for all the above reasons. Just the situation directly in the station next to the trains and the metro. Upon arrival you don’t lose any time waiting in a long line for the taxi you just take the elevator and you check in. Very friendly reception, nice anf comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with a machine for pressing your orange juice freshly plus an great choice of the excellent french pastry croissants etc plus the baguette.
