A little piece of heaven
Loved, loved, loved everything about Barbara’s apartment, including Barbara! The apartment was cozy and welcoming for myself, Hubbie, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. We celebrated my 70th (what) and my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. It was perfect. We had wonderful weather, which I’m sure Barbara arranged, to sit on the fabulous terrace. Location was excellent easy walking distance to several great restaurants and shops. Barbara spent time with us when we arrived going over the workings of the apartment and some recommendations. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Charming, Quiet and Comfortable in Great Location!
We stayed for a week during the Olympics at this lovely apartment in a peaceful section of Le Marais and it served our needs perfectly. The patio was an added bonus and served as the perfect spot for an apéro or morning coffee. Communication with the owner was great, and we appreciated her warm welcome and orientation to the apartment and neighborhood. There were many shops and restaurants closeby, and easy and quick access to several Metro stations. For our group of 4 adults, it served our needs well and provided a much-needed respite from a chaotic Olympic Paris!

Wonderful Tranquil Base in Paris
My husband, myself and another couple of friends had a wonderful stay at Barbara's place. It was spacious enough for the 4 of us and was quiet and tranquil, but still close to all the action of Paris. The apartment is decorated beautifully and has a definite Parisian feel to it. Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend to others.

Wonderful respite in the Marais
Beautiful property that is quietly located in the Marais, with a secret garden and many amazing antiques to gaze at around the house. Barbara was an awesome host, who made us feel more than at home. A slice of heaven in Paris
This is the second time we have stayed in this Marais apartment and it does not disappoint. The location is sublime and the apartment is roomy enough for two couples. Well equipped kitchen and the best of all..an outside terrace. Barbara is a welcoming host. Close to groceries and all the wonderful restaurants of the Marais.

5 Star Host, 3 star property, not great for summer stay
Cannot say enough nice things about Barbara, our host. All the other reviews are accurate in their praise for her as a host. Responsive, kind and helpful. But the property is , at the end of the day, what we are paying for, and although Barbara is 5 star (or higher!) there are some things that need to be addressed regarding the property. Our main issue was that the property is listed as airconditioned and it is not. There is one portable unit (rated for 600 sq ft in a 1200 sq ft apartment) that you cannot use unless you leave a door to outside cracked open which defeats the purpose. AC is located in the living room which means that the little bit of cooling does not even begin to reach the bedrooms. I always check listings for AC since we are generally traveling in the summer months, and arriving Paris in the middle of one of the worst heat waves I wasnt terribly worried until we saw that in reality, listing this unit as air conditioned was not accurate. There were some brutal nights sleep until the weather turned a bit cooler. Other than that drawback, the furniture and carpeting are very tired and need to be replaced. Fixing these issues would definitely rocket this property to the 5 star level.

This apartment is located to everything we needed during our stay. The Metro is a very short walk, the local grocery store is literally right around the corner and excellent restaurants and shops are nearby. Perfect apartment for my daughter and me. Location was quiet, easy to get to The metro, very good restaurants and fun to explore.
