Our annual girls trip to Aruba was nothing short of spectacular, and Shiribana exceeded all expectations. From the moment we reached out about our early arrival at 11am, the hospitality was evident. Despite the standard check-in time being 4pm, the owner graciously accommodated us for a 3pm check-in, a much-needed relief after starting our journey at 3am that morning.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Wouter, the property manager, who went above and beyond to familiarize us with every aspect of the house. His assistance was invaluable, ensuring our stay got off to a smooth start.
Although we encountered a minor hiccup with a power outage the following morning, Wouter's swift response was exemplary. With just one call, he promptly investigated the issue, discovering downed power lines in the area. Thanks to his quick action, power was restored within a mere five minutes, allowing us to continue our adventures without disruption.
Throughout our stay, we explored many of the recommended spots outlined in the house guide. While some were definite winners, such as Gusto's for a night of unforgettable clubbing, others fell short of expectations. "Driftwood," despite its glowing reviews, left us underwhelmed, particularly in regard to its seafood offerings.
