Nice location, within walking distance of small downtown Pangburn - dining, grocery, library, and a nice park.
Beautiful backyard. We enjoyed the front and back porches with a porch swing and plenty of seating, although most of the back porch was covered with leaves. There is a large pecan tree that had pecans dropping, so we picked up several and enjoyed a nice treat! If you plan to bring a dog, the house is very pet-friendly and the backyard is completely fenced in. It’s a great place to let the dog out to play, but be aware that sections of the back fence are only about 3 or 4 feet tall, so larger dogs like ours can get out. We also couldn’t find a way to close the pet door, but just found something to block it.
There is plenty of space for large family gatherings or lots of guests. Many of the closets and drawers in the bedrooms and kitchen were full, so not much room to put your own things. On the other hand, the house was very well-stocked, with lots of cooking equipment, bedding, and other non-perishables, so it was nice to have everything we needed for our stay.
A couple of the doors didn’t close properly. We couldn’t get the front bathroom door to close completely and the dining room door to the back porch was hard to open and close.
The beds were very comfortable and the host was friendly, available, and helpful.
