"The cottage was easy to find in a quiet village between the coast and the Picos de Europa. It's well laid out and been thoughtfully modernised. We ate out in the evenings but I think cooking a big meal there would be a challenge in the small kitchen area. The bed was large, comfortable and quiet and the en suite was small but perfectly functional. Jose the owner was very friendly and helpful. The local area is spectacular, the snow covered Picos making a superb backdrop to the golden sandy...

There were some negatives: a lot of the crockery/cutlery needed re-washing when we arrived, the master bed wasn’t very comfortable and there is no soundproofing in the house whatsoever! But it was in a great location and was perfectly adequate and enjoyable for a week’s stay."

"Its a typical asturian stone house. The main atraction for us was the location , a hamlet with no more than 10 houses surrounded by mountains all overooked by the Pico Peñamallera . The house is spotless clean with a great fireplace and all the amenities you need."

"We enjoyed our holiday. The cottage would benefit from an audit of crockery, cooking utensils etc. eg, more breakfast bowls needed and no teapot lid. A welcome pack in the house giving info how things work, eg recycling, hot water, where to get firewood, and general info of places to visit would be good and perhaps a visitors comments book. Appreciated Mari, the housekeeper, help and cleaning very much. It’s a beautiful building with nice linens and very well located in the area."

"We are a retired couple spending three months bicycling in northern Spain. The host and his son took great care to show us where everything was and how it worked. We speak no Spanish, but they were kind and patient and made sure we had what we needed. The apartment is lovely and complete, the location is absolutely beautiful. We bike through Santa Lucia park to a large grocery store 4 miles away and brought back all the supplies for dinner and breakfast. We played with the puppy next door. We...
