Casa Rosa Review
My sister and I stayed at Villa Rosa for 6 nights. Maria, the host, provided us with the name of a driver to get us from Colon to the apartment. We had some difficulty getting into the lock box, but a neighbor finally helped us wrestle the lock box open. The apartment, one block from Plaza Herrera, was exactly as pictured. It’s a beautifully restored spacious apartment with air conditioning, comfortable beds, a lovely terrace and a washer and dryer. There are many restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The kitchen has the basic table ware, flat ware and a few cooking pots. There was some coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have an informational book with information about things in the area, what to do about trash and recycling, house rules, etc. There is no elevator and the neighborhood is nice but noisy. We were unable to get hot water in the showers and a better coffee pot would have been appreciated.
