"Great place"

"I had a great stay at the Monun Hotel. The service was excellent and they went out of their way to be helpful and courteous. My room was not in the actual hotel building but about a minute away which wasn't really an inconvenience. In fact, I'd say I preferred the low traffic area better. The room was clean and maintained every day during my stay. The only negative comment would be the air conditioning wasn't the greatest and since you need the room key card to 'activate' the room, when you enter, it could be uncomfortably warm. No other complaint though, the water pressure was excellent and hot water on demand. Breakfast is also served each morning with a choice of Italian (croissant, yogurt, breakfast cake, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and water) or American (three eggs scrambled or fried, a piece of bacon, toast, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, and water) breakfasts being offered. Both were made fresh an delicious. Parking can be challenging but they do have a reserved section on the main street. It's narrow but we didn't have issues parking the larger vehicle we needed for our trip. Though they list an evening Aperitif event on the roof top, this was not the case. That didn't stop us from buying a bottle of wine at the hotel for 25 euros, and enjoying the scenery from the roof. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance and this is also the ceramic arts district with a lot of excellent art work. I would definitely use Monun again for a stay."

"A very clean, tidy and comfortable 3 star hotel that I surmise is family owned and possibly operated. I stayed out of season in April and it was very quiet. The breakfast is continental: mini croissants and viennoiserie ( chocolate and fruits), chocolate biscuits, fruit juices, cappuccino, espresso, cakes, tarts and tiny packs of Italian toast to enjoy with excellent butter and jams. There were some Italian businessmen staying and I feel that this kind of fayre is what is expected. There are no chilled charcuterie that the Germanics and Norse curiously find appetising at 7am. The room was very clean, the shower gel was a standard hospitality product ( this is not Forte Dei Marmi with its seaweed olive oil local product linkups). The shower was powerful, hot and the towels fluffy and white. There was some noise from a local apartment where a party was held that annoyed me at 2330 hours but reception was correct when I was assured the cacophony would cease at midnight. It did. All in all, a pleasant stay and very welcoming and professional Italian staff offering their Apulia version of the hospitality for which Italy is world famous. "
