Enjoy a day trip to Palmela, a village steeped in history and take in the breathtaking views from the turrets of the 12th century castle. Further afield nestling amongst the vineyards and cork trees you will find the charming town of Azeitao. For wine lovers, a visit to the 16th Quinta da Bacalhoa is a must.

Take a tour of the Palace to see the fine example of the traditional Portuguese azulejo tiles and enjoy a tour of the cellars (and of course a wine tasting). Don’t forget to try the infamous creamy sheep’s cheese “Queijo de Azeitao.

For nature lovers, you can explore the wonderous Arrabida Natural Park with its abundance of wildlife and great tracks for trekking, or mountain biking. Here, you will also find some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, with stunning white sand and crystal clear waters. Head to Pontinha da Arrabida for lunch at one of the waterside restaurants, where freshly caught grilled fish is a must.

The homely outdoor living / dining area is the perfect spot in which to relax, unwind and enjoy lazy lunches and dinners, all while soaking up the spectacular views. Comfy sofas, gas BBQ and wine fridge are all on hand, as well as the private swimming pool.

In the main house, there is a cosy open plan kitchen / living room to relax in on those colder nights with a large dining table and TV. Connected to the main building, are 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms with pretty wallpaper, newly fitted modern bathrooms and air con. There is also new flooring throughout all the rooms.
