"We had total privacy, a wonderful plunge pool and a view across the trees and valley to the Pacific, sunsets and Uvitas whale's tail, a huge sand bar that appears and disappears with the tide. The food was very good, but not excellent. It is luxurious and everyone tries really, really hard to please guests. Toucans and other birds stopped by our patio, 10 feet away. We enjoyed our stay very much. "

"Very fun stay at Cotingas, despite the tours we had booked being cancelled because of excessive rain. Needless to say, that was no fault of the hotel but it did mean we spent more time there and realized what a great place it was. Excellent location right next to the town but still quiet; lots of animal sightings, a great view--albeit mostly of rain on this occasion--and very good service from the excellent staff. We want to go back to Drake Bay and do what we could not this time--and when we do we will certainly stay here again."

Trina and Jorge were amazing and even (for a small fee) picked up some groceries for us and had those for us upon arrival! The villa is absolutely gorgeous and well appointed with everything you could possibly need! We are anxious to return!! "
