Palm Springs First 420 LGBTA Shiloh Pet-Friendly near downtown
he vibe is reminiscent of Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin. While there are many exciting and high-energy hotels and vacation hotspots, there are times when we crave a relaxing retreat from the craziness of daily life—a place for peace and self-reflection. This unique retreat house offers just that, along with a touch of the unexpected and an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Palm Springs.
Shiloh means "a place of peace," and that perfectly captures the essence of this retreat.

I enjoyed my 11-night stay. It was a great location, and Jeff was friendly and accommodating. Mark ( the dog ) was fun to be around—a nice, friendly dog. Certainly would recommend this place and look forward to a visit sometime in the future.
We were in the cottage and loved it. It suited us very well. Our dogs were happy there and well received.
Jeffery was vey kind and helpful. A great host!
We arrived from a long drive and were greeted warmly by the property manager, he was very helpful. We only stayed overnight and were not able to really enjoy the property fully as our flight out was very early. The bed was very comfortable and we will stay again.
Great property with a pool, hot tub and parking. Room has air conditioning and two tvs. A great shower too. Jeffery the host is very nice and has the room ready with bottled water, coffee, ice and even frosty glasses in the freezer.
We had such a marvelous time during our stay. The property and Jeffrey are both treasures! It was like a hidden oasis, so calm, relaxing and rejuvenating. We will be coming back!
Our Host, Jeffrey, was most cordial, knowledgable, quickly making several recommendations, but discrete and not over bearing, as can sometimes be the case. We found our room to be very agreeable, as to the cleanliness, design, layout, appointments, amenities +++ The complex was as charming as it appeared in the photos; privacy was acceptable. However, due to our personal preferences, the pool water was too cold and the jacuzzi too hot. We very much enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to an encore. Thank you, Jeffrey.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay here. Our host Jeff was very welcoming. Truly one of the kindest humans we’ve ever met. We felt at home at his place and can’t wait to come back!
We drive from San Diego with our new 5 month puppy. Loved our stay. It was a very cool and artsy place with a very calming relaxing vibe. The host was welcoming and delightful. We had a small gated area for our little pup, and we could also open the sliding doors and the pup would go out to the large area and play with the one of the hosts dogs. The neighborhood is delightful to walk around and talk to other people walking. We are planning another trip for a longer stay.
We needed to unplug and unwind. This beautifully styled oasis provided the perfect location to relax. Jeff was so friendly and accommodating. We will plan another trip. The location is ideal, and the neighborhood is perfect for taking a walk. The pool was so refreshing.if you are considering it, Book it. Our fur babies loved it too. 🌺 🐾
Jeffery went above and beyond our expectations. From check-in to checkout, everything went so smoothly. All communication was prompt and informative. The property itself is an oasis from everything surrounding. "Cottage" is the best description of the place. We really enjoyed the time spent there, and look forward to returning. Thank you so much, Jeffery.
Jeffery's little corner of paradise is even more lovely than the listing indicates. He has devoted SO much effort into the luxuriant gardens that surround the stunning (and BIG!) pool and the cozy hot tub. The unit itself is historic, eclectic, and super comfy. There was a pod coffee maker, coffee, and sugar provided...a small 4 burner stove/oven, microwave, and enough pots and pans to pull together pretty much anything you need to cook. (I'm a chef and I fed 6 people out of it on my first night.)
It's an easy 30 minute walk to gay-central at Arenas, but the neighborhood is quiet and serene, and the pool area feels light-years away from the bustle of downtown. A gurgling fountain sits outside within earshot of the comfy bed and the private little patio outside the unit...you could spend the rest of your life here and think you had attained Enlightenment!
Jeffery is a warm and friendly host. If you're dog people, he has some wonderful pups he'll let you play with, but if you're dog averse, he tends to keep them inside when guests are in the courtyard. (We wanted to play with them every chance we got, and he let us.)
We were utterly enamored with the place and plan to return for a longer stay. We were only in town for 2 nights to see friends, and are now eager for a return.
