"this property has so much potential but the lack of service and care to our stay was disappointing. we waited over 30 minutes in reception and no one showed. I had to go behind the reception and use their phone to try to call someone. no appologies just told they were on a break. later that evening the ceiling leaked, water was all over the floor and again there was no one in reception to help. We assumed it was the air con (which was on prior to our arrival) so we turned it off, mopped up the mess with our towels and put a bucket on the floor to collect any further water. Told reception when we checked out and was told it was probably the air con. Again no apology or concern. We had wet property (bag and clothes) due to the mess and wasted considerable time cleaning up for them, and there was no interest. the people partying all night with their child screaming and running up and down the hall until 2.30am also meant it was hard to sleep. If there was someone on night shift, they did nothing to address the noise. We tried and were ignored. Such a shame, because with a little effort it could be a really good place. This is my first complaint after years booking on hotels.com so really disappointing."

"After several days in Rome and Venice, Simona and Valentina's home in Sarnico was an oasis. The two are wonderful, welcoming hosts. The apartment is beautiful (and spotless)-- thoroughly and thoughtfully modernized while retaining its historic charm. Great shower, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, A/C, a couple of bikes-- couldn't ask for more. Turns out, you don't have to-- on our rainy day, an umbrella appeared outside our door. We envied the guestbook guests who got to spend a week, and return year after year..."
