"Splendido hotel ristorante ad un passo dal Lago di Como e facile da raggiungere sia con l'auto sia con il la linea ferroviaria Trenord che parte da Milano Cadorna. La nostra permanenza è stata molto piacevole e tranquilla. La camera molto spaziosa e silenziosa con un letto molto comodo ed un bagno con doccia che ha soddisfatto le nostre esigenze. "What a gem!! Bergamo was a half-hearted, 1-day visit we added to our trip since we were flying into Milan in the evening & yet we were SO pleasantly surprised! The old town, which is walking distance from La Valleta, is beautiful with a nice handful of shops & restaurants. La Valleta is a lovely hillside Villa with a small handful of rooms & very nice & kind proprietors. But what really stands out is their breakfast! "Not as advertised. Phoned to arrange check in but no one spoke English. Finally got a customer to translate who advised to come at 5 to check in (half an hour later than advertised). When we arrived the bar and restaurant were closed. Only one member of staff there who could not speak English which was advertised on the site. The room was very basic with outdated decor. There were no views of the lake from the hotel as shown in the pictures. Breakfast was advertised from 7-10am. When we went...

"We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Full of character, warm and cosy on chilly weekend in March. The staff were friendly and helpful and were made to feel very welcome especially by Massimo on our arrival which was quite late evening. The small town of Calolziocorte is very pleasant and the location of the hotel by the river is lovely. We were fortunate to stay for dinner on the Saturday evening and it was an excellent meal with friendly and efficient service. Communications from the hotel...

"The breakfast was actually really good. They were still delivering to the room, which I actually quite enjoyed. My room wasn’t the best layout. Kinda cramped and the small TV was hilarious. But everything else was quite good. I even appreciated the little stool in the bathroom. I slept well. It may be in need a remodel, but for the price I paid, I was quite happy."
