We stayed during the Matagorda bird fest. Location was great. On the water, walkable to a great sea food restaurant!

Great one level home w private pier
Great and comfortable stay at a home with a private pier. A one level home free of stairs/steps is a must for ease in navigating for our 91 year old mother who looks forward to our yearly mini getaway as much as we do. Thank you for a great stay!

Great crabbing
The kids really enjoying checking the crab traps daily and we were impressed with the spice assortment for cooking. There were also plent of towels.

Nice Getaway
We have come here in the past, and since then the home has had improvements which made the stay so much better. The AC is magical in the home, and the cleanliness greatly improved. The fishing experience was amazing, and the pier was equipped with the best lighting. Thank you so much.

Great Getaway
It was an amazing long weekend experience. The check in process was easy, and the neighborhood was very beautiful and peaceful. My husband and father in law got to fish a lot and enjoyed themselves. The only thing that did affect my rating of the place was that at night, the kitchen had little roaches that came out and did scare us. Other than that, it was an amazing stay.

Family get away
The view was amazing! Being able to watch the dolphins jumping out in the bay in the morning with my coffee was beautiful. The kids loved the convenience of the dock and they were excited to catch so many fish! There was 9 of us and there was enough room for everyone. The fenced backyard made it easy for the dogs too! Cathy made it easy from the beginning answering any questions we had, she’s super easy to work with! We would definitely be back if in the area!

Great for fishing
The property has potential, but there were several issues we noticed after arriving and during our stay. The host had our hot water fixed and also the air-conditioner fixed within the first 24 hours of our stay. I was able to further communicate with the host and made some suggestions about some of the other issues we noticed. The pier was a definite plus for the guys. We would stay again once the issues were professionally fixed.

Great view
The location is great with amazing views of the bay. Got to watch a pod of dolphin from the living room. 3 bedrooms were clean with comfy beds. Only one bedroom had bunkbeds and the other 2 had a full and a queen. Big fenced back yard and access to park in garage. Big open dining room and living area. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Bring your own ice. The water was low and stained from all the recent rain. Fishing from the seawall was not good and could be dangerous if you don't watch your step. A pier will definitely help this property. Lots of oyster, so we didn't wade fish the area in front of the house. But the wade fishing in town was great. The property allows pets and it smells like it. When we walked inside, we were struck by a strong odor of dogs especially around the living room rug and furniture. It improved with some ventilation, but was not a first impression. Upon our arrival, several of the counters had crumbs and a large cleaning bowl with rags was left on the back table. Fridge had lots of open condiments and some random sodas. Overall, a good 3 nights. The views were amazing and the house was comfortable. Outside furniture would help when enjoying those views. Bring your own chairs.

We had another great stay at this rental. We love the house, the big yard, the fishing pier and the beautiful sunrises. We used the kayak this time, which was awesome. Also, the owners went way above the call of duty when they actually sent us some clothes that we had forgotten in the closet! Well done and very much appreciated. Thank you!
