This 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom luxury home is located in one of the most desirable vacation home areas. Just 10 minutes to town with the World Famous Hot Springs, shopping, dining and riverwalk and just 15 minutes to the top of the mountain where Wolf Creek Ski Resort is located. It's perfect for both summer and winter.

Winter's Cabin is newly built, perfectly decorated and amazing wood work throughout the home. As you walk in the home, you'll imediately be amazed by the views of the San Juan Mountains from every room. The living room is 2 story's high, wood fireplace, comfy leather couches, large TV and opens to the dining and kitchen. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and has everything a chef would want to make a warm meal after a long day in the snow. The large deck runs the full length of the home and has nice outside furniture to relax and to enjoy a meal. There is also a gas BBQ and a sunken hot tub.

The master and guest bedrooms are both on the main floor. The master has access to the deck, a king bed and large private bathroom and a gas fireplace. The guest bedroom has a king bed and has the house full bathroom just outside. Upstairs is a large loft where the kids can hang out, relax, and also have another full bathroom.

This area is perfect for evening walks, nearby hikes and also has private access to the San Juan River.

ALL TRAILERS, RV'S, CAMPERS OR OTHER RECREATION VEHICLES MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL TO BE ALLOWED ON PREMISES.

This home is pet friendly. There is a $75.00 pet fee per dog, as well as a $100.00 refundable deposit per dog.

Nice but very uncomfortable
This home is very nice and the location is great but we would not stay here again. While the home is ornate and nicely decorated, exactly what you would expect from a luxury property, there are details that just miss the mark and keep it from being 5 star. The property needs ground maintenance and clean up, it is also clear that it has not been deep cleaned in a while. We were not able to take full advantage of the master shower because the shower heads have not been cleaned properly and had calcified. The blinds in the master bedroom were broken, also cobwebs and dust are something I do not expect to find when paying a $250 cleaning fee. Additionally while there is room for a family to stay, it is not really set up for a kids. There are only 2 TVs, which is not always ideal for a family, and the bed in the loft that makes it difficult to sleep without hearing everything. However, our biggest complaint and the reason we would not stay here again is the beds are horrific!! They are the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on. After bringing this to managements attention, I felt a little gaslit when the response was “beds are subjective”. However the master bedroom mattress was manufactured in 2003, a 20 year old mattress is no longer comfortable. It was like sleeping on the hardwood floor, it caused so much pain. The mattress upstairs was like sleeping on a trampoline at a 20 degree angle. For a Luxury property I expect high quality, and this one does not offer that.

Beautiful Inside and out.
This was the peaceful break from the heat we were looking for. It is a lovely and new space, with beautiful details. We did not use all the rooms, since there was only three of us. Would be a nice place for a family with teens.

Family trip to enjoy the gorgeous fall colors in Pagosa. House was beautiful, well stocked, and very relaxing. One of the most inviting and comfortable vrbos we’ve stayed in. Love the deck. Great Fall Getaway
High-end, clean, comfortable, well-appointed and well-furnished. Lives up to the distinction of luxury rental. Great outdoor spaces, beautiful view from the rockers on the back porch, cozy wood-burning fireplace, great kitchen, comfy beds. Stay was fantastic!! Cabin was bigger than expected which was great, the cabin is absolutely beautiful a the back porch view & size was perfect! The place was absolutely a perfect getaway for our anniversary, not far from Pagosa, not far from hiking trails. Only issue we had that I feel should be made aware to others prior to staying & only reason I didn’t give a 5star on cleanliness was due to reading over the binder once arriving to the house it said sometimes they didn’t change the blanket in between stays which kinda rubbed me the wrong way, so my wife & I went straight to Walmart in Pagosa to buy sheets & blanket for the master bed after finding hair on the blanket & sheets. We put the original back before leaving but was not ok with the possibility of sleeping with a blanket (&/or) sheets someone else possibly slept in, especially after finding a couple pieces of women's hair in the bed. We’ve stayed all over in multiple places using VRBO & have never ran across a place leaving that in the binder to me that’s pure laziness from A) the property owner, B) The Management company, or C) The cleaning crew They should have more then 1 set of bedding so every stay it can be all changed out & the other(s) can be washed properly. As beautiful as the property was a the money that went into that property not changing the bedding is unacceptable I’d expect that in a low end rental which is why I always look for the best/nicest we can find in our price range.

We had a great stay! Beautiful home and had everything that we needed for our family of 4. The beds were very comfortable! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils. The hot tub was amazing especially after skiing all day. It was a little difficult to get to after it had snowed but we put our chains on and it was fine. We would definitely stay there again!

This was a great place to stay with my family. It was a perfect mountain retreat. Great fireplace, kitchen, beds etc. Place is super accommodating. Can't say enough about the communication with the owners rep. They were outstanding. One thing is you better have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle during the winter months or you may not make it to the house or out of the drive.
