We checked in on 9/5/2024 after driving 15 hours and the lock to the front door did not work. I called Vacasa at 6pm and nothing was done due to them not being able to get ahold of the local office. Because my 76 year old mother and 9 year old granddaughter were staying in the rental with me, I had to stay up all night to make sure no one came through the front door. They finally sent someone the next morning after numerous calls all night and the next morning. She acted like I didn’t know how to use the lock. Then when I proved the lock was nonfunctional she decided she would go down to her truck to get tools to change the battery. Then came back up to say she needed to go get the company truck because she didn’t have tools in her personal truck. Finally came back and changed the battery but it wouldn’t take any of the codes to lock or unlock it. She left us with one physical key and said she would come back to change the lock out since we had 3 adults that would be coming and going at different times due to thing needing to be done for my daughters wedding. She never came back to change the lock which put us Ann in a bind when one would have the key and another needed to get in. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had with a rental. I have called numerous times and NEVER received a call back. I will it be staying at a Vacasa rental again.
