The staff were very friendly and we experienced the most efficient check in of any hotel. Very quick, no wasted effort, and a friendly exchange with the counter staff. "We opted for demi pension which was really good value. Room was very clean and comfortable although a little snug. Restaurant was excellent with lots of choice, menu plus A La Carte. Breakfast also excellent and service was superb. Only disappointment was car parking - from the description we had assumed parking was on site and secure not across the road on the open verge. Very quiet area, opposite a canal with good walks nearby."

"We turned up at the hotel for a 3nights extended bank holidays weekend just to find out that the hotel was privatised and fully booked with nowhere to sleep in town or in the neighbouring villages !!! Owner refused to speak to Hotels.com since apparently he has only signed a contract with Expedia (but didn’t acknowledge it was the same company!) and refused to speak English... Hotels.com was not able to sort it out not find anywhere else and we had to drive back home 3hrs in the other direction...

"This is a beautiful place to stay for bed and breakfast . The chateau has been sympathetically renovated and the rooms are quirky and individual - each tastefully decorated to a very high standard. "Was very tranquil. During our stay very hot, we were offered air conditioning which we declined as meant more to pay and we were on a budget. I didn't realise towels not included, I don't think web site made it clear. Facilities good but shower very small for my husband who is disabled. Lovely location very convenient for site seeing and shopping."
