Explore miles of trails in the Tatoosh Range Wilderness, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Mount Rainer. Centrally located for access to Mount St Helens, Mount Adams, Goat Rocks Wilderness, William O’Douglas Wilderness, mountain biking, cycling and fishing.
25 min - 1 hour from Mount Rainer National Park (Stevens Canyon Rd entrance depending on weather) (Steven Canyon does close during the winter.)
30 min from White Pass Ski Resort

Please Note:
Please note this rental is attached to a seperate rental (Tiny Timber) around the back side of the deck. Deck is shared but a privacy fence was installed to for additional seperation. Both units have their owner private entrances as well as designated parking areas.

This property does not have AC, but fans are provided for your comfort. 

During the summer a burn ban may go into effect in all of Lewis County. During this time campfires, the use of charcoal briquettes, and any other form of burning may be prohibited. 

Winters in Packwood may get very snowy. It is the guests responsibility to be properly equipped for harsh winter driving conditions. We do our best to keep our cabins accessible, but winter traction tires and 4-wheel drive may still be required.

Destination Thanksgiving
My sister and I sort of impulsively decided to switch things up and have a “destination Thanksgiving” this year. We spent a lot of time looking at different houses available and always came back to the Tall Timber Chalet. This home was absolutely perfect for our families to come together…plenty to space to be together and take time apart. TMC was fantastic to work with, including our decision even more last minute to bring one of our dogs. All in all, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our time:)
