Our Pacific Oceanfront, Once-in-a-Lifetime private home, is right on the water and minutes from downtown San Francisco, Berkeley, and Silicon Valley. We provide a stunning place to spend a week or a weekend, or settle in for a cozy and quiet retreat where you can fall asleep to the sound of waves.

Watch for dolphins, whales, sea birds, seals, and sailboats with unobstructed views from our huge deck and outdoor patio seating. The gas grill, patio furnishings, fire pit and garden make for great family entertaining and photo opportunities as you watch the sun set over the Pacific with friends. Wake up to the widest views the Pacific has in store for you.

Our home will be disinfected and cleaned following CDC guidelines prior to your stay, and we have contactless entry/exit.

Our fully furnished, fully equipped home has an open living/dining/kitchen plan featuring a dining table next to a fireplace, and a grand piano with cozy seating --all facing the ocean. Enjoy fast wireless internet with 1 Gigabit high speed, and Xfinity Cable with 200 channels in our living area. The chef's kitchen is built for family and friends, and comes with a Wolf gas range/double griddle/2 ovens, a huge kitchen island and counter-space, and includes a Breville Oracle barista coffee maker, kettle, new microwave, and toaster oven as well as a Thermomix, Caffe dishwasher, several appliances and all pantry and amenities. The in-house H3 washer/dryer adds convenience, as does ample free & safe street parking. We include all furnishings, linens, towels, toiletries, kitchen needs, utilities, garden care, electric vehicle charging and Gigabit wireless internet.

Our seaside home is in a friendly, private neighborhood and ready for your family holiday, girls’ getaway, or couple's retreat. Find sandy beaches, surfing, pier fishing and pleasant walking courses right out the door, as well as grocery and organic markets and a few tasty local cafes and eateries. We are on the sea but surrounded by Golden Gate and State Parks (Mori Point, San Pedro Valley, Sweeney Ridge) for walking/hiking and mountain biking, and are one mile from the Sharp Park 18-hole public golf course.

This home has easy access to Highway 1 and is 12 min to SFO airport, 12 min to downtown SF on I280, 40 minutes by BART or car to Berkeley, and is 30 minutes to Stanford, Sand Hill, or 35 minutes to Cupertino.

Peace
The usual perfection in one of the more beautiful months of the five times we’ve stated this property. Mornings were spent stretching by the ocean and watching dolphins play. Evenings spent cooking, listening to music and falling asleep to the waves. The generosity and kindness of the owners is unmatched. Thank you again, Cathy and Tom and looking forward to returning in the spring!

Excellent location
I've been searching rentals and hotels up and down the west coast for ocean view properties and this is by far the BEST location so far. The ocean is practically in the back yard. I know most people go to these towns to run around sight-seeing and going to the sandy beach. But I just wanted a place I could go and relax and enjoy the ocean in solitude. This was it! There were benches in the back yard where we could privately enjoy the ocean at any time of day or night. The house was well stocked with games, puzzles, kitchen appliances and utensils. There's no Keurig but there's a standard drip coffee pot or a fancy Breville machine. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Nice comfy couch. Even with the doors and windows closed at night you can hear the ocean waves crashing. You can even lay on the bed during the day and see the whales splashing around in the ocean. I'm definitely renting this place again if possible.

For a small family outing (4 adults) it was fantastic. We enjoyed the absolutely stunning views and saw many marine animals (seals, dolphins and many humpback whales). Great area for dining, hanging out or heavy game of hearts. Home loaded with many nice options to make it a very comfortable stay.would highly recommend.

Wonderful, quiet oceanfront home with easy access to SF
This home was perfect for our family’s visit to SF. It was very clean and well-equipped with ample cookware, dishes, spices, oils, etc. for preparing meals. The living area felt cozy but spacious, and we had a great time tinkering on the piano and playing some of the many available games. The hosts were great to communicate with and checked in to make sure our stay was going well. Pacifica itself is a quiet, sleepy town which provided a nice reprieve from the hubbub of SF. We enjoyed grabbing a coffee at Cafe Pacifica and strolling the promenade along the beach. Nearby Mori Point was an easy hike and worth a visit. We were immensely lucky that a large group of humpback whales were hanging in the waters of Pacifica during our stay. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience watching whales from sunup to sundown, often just a couple hundred yards from our back window. Everything we planned to do was an easy drive from Pacifica, including Muir Woods, SF, San Jose, and Santa Cruz, so it worked very nicely from a logistics perspective. When touring the area, be sure to dress in layers and be prepared for a wide range of temps. SF has microclimates so you may need anything from coat/hat/gloves to shorts and a tank top depending on the day/hour/location.

Fantastic Time in Pacifica!
We had the most amazing stay at this property; everything we needed was provided and you just can't beat the views and sounds of the ocean. We had all kinds of plans while we were in the area but some of our most cherished memories are of just being at the property, playing games, and relaxing.

Oceanfront House
We heard the gorgeous sound of the waves all the time and seagulls floated by our windows. Very quiet and serene. Open Kitchen/livingroom gave an expansive and homey feel. Matress in master is firm and fantastic. Bathrooms were a bit small but practical. The hosts were extremely responsive with integrity. We spend a lot of time exploring Half Moon Bay which is a 10 minute drive from Pacifica.

Loved our Stay in Pacifica!!
We were most pleased with our stay at Ocean-Front Home. The house is clean, our stay was comfortable, the Pacific Ocean is literally the backyard, and the city is in close proximity. The kitchen and house are well stocked with most everything anyone could need for a “Home Away from Home”. Tom and Cathy are the ABSOLUTE best hosts. Location location location!
The property hosts have thought of EVERYTHING that makes a lovely beach stay. Cords everywhere for charging our devices, motion-sensitive night lights to keep us safe, abundant kitchen supplies for those who resemble a chef more than I do, drawers and cupboards full of spices and condiments, even guitars and ukuleles come along with the grand piano! The Abels are very generous people, allowing us to use all of this. The home was clean; there was a binder of instructions to make everything usable. Of course, the most important part was the view of the Pacific, and pelicans, and the pier! Lovely location!

Family time
We enjoyed a wonderful, tranquil week spending time together with my 98yr old mother. Every morning was spent enjoying coffee and tea and looking out the scenic windows for whales and finally on the last day, rewarded with one, spouting in the distance-just magnificent! The home is small but with great open design, definitely met our needs for 3 adults and visitors. Kitchen was very user friendly and well equipped, the large dining table and kitchen counter area was great, living room seating was comfortable to view the large tv and the outdoor area overlooking the Pacific was fantastic! The owners were in constant communication during our stay and were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. Everything about this rental is accurate as described and did not disappoint. It is truly an A+ rental and I would not hesitate to rent again. Situated in the cute town of Pacifica, with SF and the entire Bay Area nearby, this is truly an idea location. Oceana Market met all our needs and washer/dryer was a bonus! ARIGATOU Cathy and Tom!

Seamless and beautiful stay
We spent a beautiful Christmas in this gorgeous home with all the creature comforts and stunning view! Cathy and Tom were lovely to check in on us when the weather turned and the waves soared. Despite the record setting weather, we enjoyed every second, we used the chef's kitchen to have a lovely Christmas dinner and enjoyed playing Christmas tunes on the piano as the tremendous waves came in. Perfection in every detail
Our recent stay at Cathy & Tom’s vacation home was nothing short of extraordinary. Every inch of the interior has been renovated to perfection. Located on one of the most spectacular sections of pacific coast, the property offers an unparalleled experience with curling waves crashing against rocks just beyond the windows or right next to you on the beautiful back deck. The most amazing house – better than the photos
This house had everything you could possibly ask for. The kitchen had so many appliances. We had fun learning how to use the wonderful Breville espresso machine. It has a built-in tutorial that is hands-on that really taught us how to use it The deck on the ocean is much closer than it looks in the pictures The hosts were lovely, personable and helpful. The place was spotless, the beds were super comfortable, multiple charging cords were provided, and the view was amazing! This house is dog friendly, with a fenced-in yard There is lots to do in Pacifica and the neighboring cities. A short drive to Golden Gate Park, Half Moon Bay, and everything in between. So many good beaches for the dog too! We will definitely be back!!

Relax and recharge by the ocean
It is a wonderful surprise to enter a rental property and have it surpass expectations. We felt fully welcomed into someone’s home. For the style of two bedroom ranch home sitting right above the crashing waves of the pacific, this place is beautifully and practically appointed. The kitchen is spectacular. If you love to cook even while vacationing, this is the place. The hosts are welcoming, accessible and make it clear they want you to feel like like family. Enjoy!!

Great stay in beach town close to SF!
This house is so incredible! The view, the interior, the kitchen…don’t hesitate to stay here! Pacifica is a cute beach town and it’s so close to SF. It’s a great location for checking out lots of beautiful local beaches, going into the city and even heading north to see some redwoods. Staying here was a highlight of our trip. Cathy is a wonderful host and I hope to stay here again soon.

Spectacular Ocean experience
As a person obsessed with the ocean, this house was the best ocean view I have ever had. Spent a lot of time on the deck with binoculars, just watching the ocean, great, hiking trail to the cliffs past the pier and used the house as a base to visit Miramar Beach, Fort Funston and Half Moon Bay for a really great, relaxing, peaceful vacation. Lots of great places to eat, but we looked forward each day to coming back to just enjoy the views. The owners had everything we needed and more to make our stay perfect. They went above and beyond the usual rental expectations.

This house is definitely worth it!!! The view was FANTASTIC!! The VRBO pictures do not do it justice. Anyone that books this home will NOT regret it. Incredible stay
From the moment we stepped into this beautiful home, we knew this would be the trip of a lifetime. The attention to detail was top notch. Everything you could possibly need was available to us; cosy extra blankets, high end cookware, appliances, lawn furniture etc. This may not be typical, but we saw whales every day of our visit. Even without the wildlife, the view was spectacular. Our family spent quite a bit of time just watching the waves roll in. The location of the property couldn’t be more convenient. We were twenty minutes from the city and airport ,five minutes from local stores, but it felt like you were a day’s journey away from everything. Cathy’s communication was excellent from day one. Instructions and local recommendations were very clear. Can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to get back.
