"While the place is handsome and well kept, there are serious issues that I encountered that were reported here by others. The two most prominent were that the choice of rooms I was given was either a room with a door that opens strainght into the dining room, or a room with a bath ONLY (= no showerhead... in 2020...). My complaint resulted in the owner explaining to me this the room EXPEDIA assigned to me.... on my second night I moved to a room which was separate from its bathroom, not a great...

"Beautiful estate with a pool to-die-for. Nice breakfast, but no vegan options...I had written the owners with questions ahead of time, but never received a response. And while the stable rooms are large, the walls are paper-thin and you can hear your neighbors (tv, conversations, blowing noses.)"

"Palmiet Valley Estate is set in beautiful grounds. The food was excellent. I stayed in room No. 1, which was disappointing. I felt that the 5 star classification was a misrepresentation. The hotel is advertised to include air conditioning. Internet access, wifi, bar fridge. My room had none of these, it also had no TV.
